Re:Touchscreen going crazy

2020-06-17, 13:58 PM

Hi. I just had a look at the Touchscreen driver on my partner's Lenovo and apologise for the wrong info but a good solution.
With the 'new' one I bought last year the standard installed one that came with the system had been replaced about a year after the sale date. I think the original on the Lenovo website was RealTek or Intel but the one that WORKS!!! is - believe it or not -  an absolute standard MICROSOFT TOUCHSCREEN DRIVER! So I suggest you totally UNinstall the existing one and any non0 Microsoft Touchscreen drive form you pc then restart the system and see see if Windows 10/Microsoft offer you their regular/standard one. If no, come back to me and I will send you all that I can find about the MS one!!

I did find an entry in the MS Forum that said the Lenovo (and others) driver was modified by a Win10 update in 2018!!

Bu the MS definitely works as I took the chance to completely UNinstall this one then restart and after reinstall and another restart up it came ok!! Tony
