Unable to boot from a USB drive

I am unable to boot from a USB drive on my Lenovo B570. The boot order has USB listed first, but won't boot from the USB drive. The drive does work, but it won't boot. When I press F12 to enter the multiboot menu, it doesn't even list USB as an option. This is very odd since in the past I have been able to boot from a USB device.

My goal is to be able to repair  the Windows MBR since I had Ubuntu on my computer as well and deleted the partition that it was on and got the grub rescue message.

Re: Unable to boot from a USB drive

hi Legonatic,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Try booting in BIOS by tapping f2 when you power it ON

Under configuration there is a USB Legacy try checking that if it is Enabled

Best Regards

Re: Unable to boot from a USB drive

The same problem for me. F12 ->USB drive is listed and working propertly in another pc and laptop but cannot boot in lenovo b570-1068. Tried all versions of BIOS different USB drives, USB card readers, USB HDD drives. The same image burned on dvd disk boots without problem.seems like BIOS problem. BIOS reflashed under DOS with setup defaults after flashing. Please fix it.
