horizon screen brightness problem.

There seems to ne some sort of automatic screen brightness control on the horizon 2s... it's driving me crazy. when i hold the device in my lap, the screen gets noticeably darker than when its in a more vertical position. How do I turn this off?

Re: horizon screen brightness problem.

The problem you are experiencing is probably caused by the Auto Brightness setting in Windows 8.  The link below will explain how to disable that feature.,,,,

Re: horizon screen brightness problem.

Hello,

Curious to if our problem is the same as this.. ?

We are using the Horizon 2S in a retail environment (within kiosks), and the brightness is horribly low. We have cranked them up 100% and are still experiencing very low brightness. Any insights would be great!

Thank you!

Wyatt

Re: horizon screen brightness problem.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community Wyatt !

Have you tried the previous suggestion about turning off the adaptive brightness in Windows 8?
