A couple of A1 questions

2011-10-12, 9:21 AM

Forgive me for not knowing anything about Android tablets, but will it have access to the regular Android Market? I've seen some good-looking cheap Android tablets but then I realize they don't have access to the Android Market and that's just a huge turn-off for me. Another question is will the rear camera be able to record video? And last but not least, I thought the cheapest model was going to be $199? Not that I don't mind paying an extra $30 but I saw a post on here from about a week ago in which someone was saying it was $199 so I'm just wondering why the sudden $30 spike?

ok,

$199 was the original sale for the 2gb model. Which paying $249 for the 16bg is a much better deal, why pay $229 for 2gb when you get 8x the space for $20 more.

Lenovo right now, will have the android market but will not have access to movies.

Not too sure about the ability to record video, but I am currently finding out.

My guess is that it has the stock gingerbread camera, and I have no reason to belive that it can not record video as such.

Well it does have a front and back webcam, so it should have the ability to record. Just not certain though. Not sure how great it would look. the back cam is a 3mp. Should be ok I guess. Better than my phones 2mp.

From what I have read, the bootloader is unlocked, so I am hopeful that at the very least, the developer community will embrace it, and potentially provide some ICS goodness at some point...

Ok, thanks, but what do you mean by it won't have movies? Will I be able to load MP4s onto it and watch them on it?

Ok, thanks. But it will support Netflix right? I saw some Amazon reviewers talking about problems with Netflix on the K1, so just making sure.

Netflix works fine yes, It's Crackle which is not working right. Atleast I never got it working yet.

Oh just letting you know Netflix picture quality only looks bad the first 10 seconds of loading/buffering. It looks great once its done.

Correction I'm not sure, I miss read the A1. I have the K1. Sorry.
