Re: A7600-F wifi problem after 4.4.2 update

2014-09-04, 20:44 PM

I have exactly the same problem (connection drop off every few minutes) with my A3500-FL. Unfortunately I see no support from Lenovo here. Just a confirmation of the problem or that they will fix it.

Same solution worked for me. I changed the WiFi router and the problem went away. This indicates to me that the Lenovo WLAN driver needs to be fixed.

Re: A7600-F wifi problem after 4.4.2 update

2014-10-05, 19:15 PM

I have the Lenovo A7600-F with KitKat 4.4.2

Kernel Version 3.4.67

Build number  A7600F_A442_000_022_140829_ROW

This current issue was not present with the prior build.

Router is a Linksys E4200

I have reset the router several times

Internet is through ATT Uverse.

Multiple speed test were run from http://www.att.com/speedtest/

Middle of those test were  Download 28.04 Mbps and Upload 4.77 Mbps

I have uninstalled the Netflix app a couple of times, cleared the data, and cleared the cache. To no avail.

Netflix is the main problem. Netflix app starts up fine. It just seems to have an issue buffereing. It will lock up the internet connection on the tablet. I have to manually reset the tablet connection to get internet access back. Internet, Hulu and Youtube have no issues.

While I have read that changing your router will sometimes fix the issue. I have a desktop, 2 tv's, and 2 dvd players that have no issue's with connection or Netflix. Most of the time there is only one of the device's on at the time I am using the tablet. So I know there is no issue with bandwith.

If you could please let me know if there is any additional information you need from me to help with this problem.

Thanks for your time and help.

Hello all,

For me the wifi problem was due to an app called Adblock Plus.

Indeed, this app is an advertisement blocker and after its intallation, you have to configure the proxy on your wifi connection (localhost + a port number).

I removed this app and the proxy configuration. Now I haven't no more problems with my wifi connection.

I hope this will be helpful for you.

Checked all running aps and I had nothing like or close to that. Thanks for the info though. Every bit helps.

Still hoping to get a reply from a moderator. Curious to why no response.

It seems my tablet is stuck connecting to the wireless network. In the past, restarting it fixed the problem, but this no longer works. Anyone know how to fix this?

Unfortunately, I have noticed the same issue in my tablet: A8-50 / A5500-F Kernel: 3.67.4 Android:4.4.2 Compilation: A5500F_A442_000_022_140901_ROW ( not rooted) Every few minutes the WiFi connection drops off which is absolutely annoying ?. It is even worse after sleeping. I cannot confirm it 100% but in think that is much more frequently when using firefox. Any help on this matter would be much apreciatted. Obviously I am thinking about rise a complaint because the navigation is pretty frustrating. I have also realized that there is no especific topic to discuss about this issue on this tablet. Would be adequate to create it? Any potential buyer looking for info about this tablet deserves know it. Thanks All.

I have the same problem with my Lenovo A7600-f tablet. Every 5-20 minutes it disconnects from my Wifi network, without a warning. Even the wifi status icon is unchanged (and looks like I have still a connection).

The firmware version of my tablet is: A7600F_A442_000_022_140829_ROW

Please, fix this problem. Because it makes browsing and other online application almost unusable...
