Android Market Concerns

2011-08-31, 20:32 PM

I'm on the 725 update and have had the K1 for a couple of days.

I still don't see many apps available on the Android Market.  Examples: Yahoo Mail, Facebook, TouchDown License key..etc.

Is that due to a issue with how the K1 is registered with Google or that the developers restricting what platform to have apps on?

Also, when will the Market application be upgraded to the new one?

hey burr,

a probable reason why there isn't much app on Android Market could be that not many users have developed app for the K1 for the Android Market yet.

however if you're referring to the Lenovo Android Market App, then the reason why you see not a lot of apps is because we make sure that those apps work for the K1 before releasing it to our very own app store the Lenovo App Shop

However, the Andorid Market not recognizing the K1 as a valid device as it isn't discovered as having passed the Google compatibility tests is still an issue... this is validated by the fact that the "Movies" tab isn't available.
