Re: Android Source Code

The K1 source code is definitely nothing that corresponds to any of the recent builds from Lenovo:

Here's what I see:

a. The stock has been compiled with 4.4.3 toolchain )can be seen in dmesg)

b. The xres/yres in board-ventana-panel.c is set to 1366x768, while on stock is at 1280x800

    (atleast thats what gralloc reports)

c. There a FBIO_TEGRA_FLIP ioctl in fb.c, where the structure tegra_fb_flip_args being sent by NvGrPost does not match the one in the source from Lenovo. In fact lookig at Nvidia's tree the source is probably from 2010....

Mark,

Do let us know if you need to provide more data to the engineering team that what they have provided, is not anywhere close to the binaries.

On a side note, I bought a Samsung GalaxyTab from Frys (sale), at a price very closeto what I bought the K1 for.

While the K1 has better hardware specs, the GalaxyTab is really a neat piece of technology.

I now understand why Apple was so ticked with Samsung, and not so much with other manufacturers.

We're not forgetting this pending issue, are we? Just a kind reminder that we are still waiting for Lenovo to honor their A1 customers and provide them with the source code for A1, so that they can have a decent software support for it.

Please, do something!

I'd like to add my voice to this.

Lenovo, you need to release the GPL'd source for these devices. You are not doing your image any good by witholding this information.

Please remove the "Solved" flag from this topic. This issue has in no way been "Solved".

The source code provided for the K1 is completely obsolete and in no way lines up with the kernel released with Honeycomb for the K1, the kernel that Lenovo is required to release the source for. It's as if someone just found a pre-release testing version of the kernel and zipped it up.

The source code provided for the A1 is incomplete, and useless in its current form.

I fail to see where either of these matters have been "Solved".
