Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse for Tab M10 (HD) / Smart Tab M10 HD Tablet (TB-X505F, TB-X505L, TB-X505

I would like to know if I can connect a Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse to my tablet.  I've searched the forum to see if anyone has asked this question, but I don't see it.  I have been told that since my Tablet supports Bluetooth (I've connected Bluetooth speakers to it in the past, and connected it to my Roku) that it should support any Bluetooth device.

Thanks in advance for any help someone can give.

I can't confirm for this specific model but I can confirm that I've paired countless generic and Lenovo Bluetooth keyboards, mice and combos to countless devices, Android, Android TV and Windows, including phones, tablets, media players, notebooks, desktops, etc.

What I'm trying to say is the likelihood that this won't work with an M10 tablet is exceedingly small.

One thing to keep in mind is that some keyboards may not have all the keys that Android uses or the keys may not be recognized correctly. Unfortunately the only way to determine this is to try and see. I recommend buying from a store like Best Buy or Amazon where you can return/exchange if necessary. Were it not for pandemic restrictions I'd bring the M10 to the store and try it out with the keyboards and mice they have on display.

My comments are mine. I don't work for or speak for Lenovo.

I wasn't aware that Android had different keys.  I did think they might not be recognized properly.  I can definitely get one from Amazon and try it out, then return if it doesn't work.  Is it safe to assume that if one Bluetooth keyboard has key recognition issues, they all will?

Generic keyboards are often designed to work with Android, Windows and iOS. As a result they can have quirks when used with each of these OSs, especially with media keys and keys dedicated to a particular OS.

It's best to look for a keyboard that has been specifically designed for Android. I'm not aware of a Lenovo keyboard that's been designed specifically for the M10 or Android.

Second best is to try a reputable brand like Logitech and whose specs explicitly include Android.

The keyboards most likely to have issues are the cheap generic ones you can find on Amazon or eBay, especially those labelled as "universal." (Then again I have a Bluetooth keyboard that I bought at a dollar store that works well with an Android smartphone. So this is all hit-and-miss.)

Yet again, something else I didn't know. :)  I will check and make sure it says Android.

I have a few products from Logitech that work well.  I do have an old Harmony remote control that controls my Roku TV and my TiVo Mini.  Logitech only allows you to have one configuration program available at any time.  You can't download it and save it.  You have to work on the original and once it's modified, the old one isn't available.  So if you fiddle with it and make a mistake, you can't roll it back to the version that worked.  When I asked the community there about it, they told me to use a different email to create a new account, then modify that one.  If something doesn't work, you can log in to the other account and download the "old" version. :P  Not my idea of the best design.

Thanks for your response!!
