Documents to Go

2011-11-11, 6:23 AM
I updated to 3.2.1 tonight and now Documents to go no longer appears to be the full version. Has anyone else had this problem?

DO NOT udate Documents To Go through the Lenovo Shop!

Only update through DataVis: http://www.dataviz.com/downloads/redownloads/index.html

Otherwise you lose the full version

I updated my tablet to 3.2.1 and the latest build and went to open up Docs to Go for the first time since I purchased it.  It's a freeware version.  What can I do to get the full version?  Any ideas?

I realize going to android market and downloading the app would be easy.  But I'd have to pay for it.  So you are telling me my only option is to factory reset my device?  I'll do that if that's what it takes....I don't really have anything on it right now anyway.

It sure sounds like it from what I've read in the thread.

I got it as a free app of the day a while back from Amazon, so I own it for all my devices (lucky me, eh?).

Happened to me also.  That sucks! Hearing on Mobiltechreviews that you get Doc2go full version was one of the selling points for me on this tablet....minor I know....but it was a "plus" on my comparison chart.  Now Lenovo takes it away after only a week?  Come on Lenovo!

No, mine worked like a charm. One thing I noticed is that unlike the iOS app, the Android version doesnt allown you to open and save to/from box and dropbox, or am I missing something?

Rcatron have you tried to open work, excel, or powerpoint?  Mine worked fine before the upgrade but now they won't open. Instead I get a message to upgrade to the $15 pay version to get those features.  Last night before I did the upgrade I tested Word and Excell (not Powerpoint) and they worked fine.

I just checked, and yes - mine is 100% fine.  No message about upgrading.  Not sure what happened with your install.
One thing I just found out that was neat - I installed the Windows desktop Sync app and selected my Dropbox folder (that is integrated with Windows Explorer).  So now, I have Dropbox in my Docs2Go account.  Nice.
Hope you get your issue resolved.  I think Lenovo should give you credit for the paid app.
