Hello,

I want to upgrade my firmware on my TB-8705X, current firmware is TB-8705X_S000022_200323_BMAIN (Android9). If I use LMSA the latest firmware is TB-8705X_S300259_220301_BMP, but I cant do it by OTA (no updates available). So, should I update? Is at also Android9?

Here is the link with Android roadmap, where the latest update for Tab m8 fhd  is Adnroid10q.

It would be worth to try updating the Tab M8 FHD to its latest version using the Rescue & Smart Assistant tool. You may click here to check the tool's User Guide and go to pages 12 & 13 for the complete steps on how to do it.

Usually, an important patch is marked as mandatory once released using the Rescue & Smart Assistant tool. You may check page 13 of its User Guide here for more details. Though, it is advisable to download and install any updates whether it's for the tablet itself or for the apps that you use as they bring enhancements and fixes for software bugs that affects the tablet/app(s) performance. Just make sure to connect the device into a reliable Wi-Fi network to complete the process successfully.

But, this post and also this says otherwise. Tab M8 FHD with Android 9 is faster and more stable than Android 10.  So, I want to update the latest firmware with Android 9. 

Could you please tell me, which one below is Android 9?

You may download & install the firmware that you'll be seeing on the Rescue and Smart Assistant tool to update your device as we cannot also confirm here on which of them contains the Android 10 OS. Though, rest assured that the Rescue and Smart Assistant tool is safe to use as it is specifically made for Lenovo devices.

Ok. Using Rescue and Smart Assistant I downloaded proposed firmware (TB_8705X_S300259_220301_BMP) and unzipped it. In the directory with the firmware there is a file MT6765_Android_scatter (see the attached file). In this file I found the name of a platform, It's MT6765. As I understand, this platform has CPU MediaTek Helio P35, but my tablet has MediaTek P22T 2.3G. So, Is it problem? Should I update?
