Re:Full screen (maximize) button is not working in tab P11

Hi Yasiru,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I think this is how Productivity Mode is supposed to work.  What happens when you disable the mode ? It should revert back to normal window sizing and not small windows/portrait mode.

From the Settings screen, scroll to and select Productivity Interface. Select the Productivity Interface and switch Off.

Regards

Hello,

First restart your tablet then make Start full screen and see everything in one view, select the Start button, then select Settings > Personalization > Start , and then turn on Use Start full screen. The next time you open Start, the Start screen will fill the entire desktop.

Re:Full screen (maximize) button is not working in tab P11

i solved the problem.

in lenovo P11 tab, the productivity mode is not working properly and this happens due to a malfunction in the firmware. to solve this you need to reinstall the same firmware or install the updated firmware. you can do this by yourself easily using a windows computer. all the major steps are wrote down below.

1. download the Rescure & smart assistance windows application by following link and install it to your computer.

https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/158726

2. connect the tab with your computer via data cable and watch below video for further instructions.

please note tab P11 is not supported for fastboot mode. enable usb debugging mode and go through it. This is similar to company reset and all your data will be erased. prepare for that.

Re:Full screen (maximize) button is not working in tab P11

I have the same issues with productivity mode in my P11.

So I tried to reflash the firmware with Rescue and Smart Assistent (LMSA) as described by @Yasiru   . I tried it several times, but it always fails (see picture). The P11 is connected properly in USB Debugging mode. What am I doing wrong? Is there a different way to reinstall the firmware, e.g. with SD Card?

I don't know what might be the wrong. have you enabled the usb debugging mode before re-installing the firmware? Else you can try again with some other laptop.

And for your information, re-installing is not a proper solution for this issue. After couple of days of re-installation, i had to face the same issue once again. So I decided to claim warranty and the repaired device has not returned yet. Even i don't think they can repair the same device only by firmware re-installing. my guess is, this might be a issue with certain P11/P11 pro devices. Try to claim warranty if possible.

Re:Full screen (maximize) button is not working in tab P11

Yes, I enabled USB debugging mode before reinstalling, and yes, I tried updating first with my PC and later on with my laptop. Both failed with the same message.

Sorry to hear that the firmware reinstall in the end could not resolve the problem with the non-maximizing windows.

Please keep us updated about your device and what Lenovo service will tell you, as this is really annoying.

Thanks!

Re:Full screen (maximize) button is not working in tab P11

guys,

this was not a proper solution. after few days of the firmware re-installation i had to face the same issue once again. so decided to claim warranty. The shop said it cannot be repaired and they gave me a same amount voucher. Initially i though to go for Huawei Mate 11, but still i love the design, build quality and other features of the P11. So I took a risk and again purchased P11 Pro this time. It is 3 days and as of now no issues appears. Battery and productivity mode both working fine.

At the initial system startup P11 pro had couple of system updates and Lenovo might have issued a system update with a solution. Below is my firmware vision and check yours and update immediately. If it's not working don't think twice go and claim warranty.
