Goggle Play on US Bought A2109

2012-12-08, 5:54 AM

OK I have probably a somewhat weird question here.

I am going to be getting me an A2109 tablet within in the next month or two, And while surfing the forums here I've noticed alot of post stating that Google Play will not reconize there A2109. I realize they were talkingh about ones that they had bought off of China's Website.

My question is this.

I'm going to be buying one from Best Buy or Amazon ones that were made to be sold here in America.

Lenovo says it comes stock with Goggle Play already installed.

My question lies here has anyone been having any problems with Google Play on their A2109 tablets that have been bought in this country the U.S?

And is it also capable of downloading from places like Amazon and GetJar and the like?

I know I can always download apps from other places and install them but that is a real pain in the you know what to have to do that for everything.

I'm just trying to be sure it will do what I need before I buy it.

It sounds like the best Tablet going with a Tegra 3 on board, But if it won't do the basics then to me it would be little more then a Coaster on my desk.

Thanks in advance.

The worldwide version (sold everywhere except China) has the Play Store pre-installed.  Only the Chinese version (it has different firmware) does not include the Play Store.

I haven't tried Amazon or GetJar, but I don't see any reason they wouldn't work.

Thanks for your help.

I had sort of figured that if it had Play Store installed it would be fine.

I'm just as my wife would say a worrier about everything, In one way that's good and in others not so much.

I just wanted to be sure everything was going to work pretty much out of the box.

Since Google Play works like you Amazon and GrtJar should work as well.

And if not I can always backup the apps I get from there on my A500 and transfer them that way.

I'm a Happy Camper, Thanks for all your help...:catvery-happy:
