hi

 

i have the same issue, when i return this for warranty repair i assume i will lose everything on my tablet--pictures, video, etc. Tablet was working fine until early in the week then just kept looping. Thanks

That means you either don't have the APX drivers installed correctly, your device is not in APX mode, or you don't have it connected to your computer.

 

[EDIT]

I was wrong about the above, see later posts. The below information is correct.

 

Go under Device Manager and see if you can find, under USB devices, "NvFlash recovery xxx", where xxx is something that I can't remember. Just see if you can find something with that text in it.

well i changed it to another driver i found but still no joy. Driver is Nvidia USB Boot Recovery Driver for Mobile Devices

That's the right driver...I'm going to try this and see what happens.

I got the same error you did. I was mistaken, you cannot push a file with ADB in APX mode, becuase some part of Android has to be loaded to use ADB. Sorry about that.

 

However, there is another option that I used recently on my own tablet to fix a problem similar to yours.

If you are OK with losing all of your data, there is an easy way to get back to the latest regular update for your tablet (what you had before it bootlooped).

 

Before we try that, though, is your device still under warranty? Not that this will break it; it's just that I'd rather have you send it back for warranty service (if you have it available) before we try this, as I believe it voids your warranty.
