Re: Have a problem with my K1

Yes. It is stock. The only changes are:

  1. It is rooted, so you gain full control over your device.
  2. The build.prop file is spoofed so that Google Play thinks that you have a Xoom, which lets you get a lot of exclusive apps (such as Modern Combat 3).
  3. You get ClockWorkMod recovery so you can backup your system, install third party mods, and install custom ROMs if you decide to later on.

I am obliged to tell you that OTA's will most likely lock you out of CWM recovery, but all that means is that you will just have a stock K1--except for it being rooted, of course.

[EDIT]

Oh yeah, and it boots in about 1/5 the time. Pretty sweet.

Extract it. Put your tab in APX mode and connect it to your PC.
MAKE SURE IT IS CHARGED. I think about 20% or more should be fine.

Go into the folder you extracted and run flash_windows.bat. It should take about 5 minutes give or take.
If all goes well the process will finish without complaint.

When it is done, reboot your K1 and go get yourself a tasty beverage. It takes a while to boot the first time. When it finishes go ahead and skip through the setup wizard, just get to the homescreen.

Let me know how it goes, there's one more thing to do after that and then you'll be set.
