Re: [HowTo] A2109 Fastboot

Ok cool, so the volume down button is the Enter button, ha. So did it work out for you, even the drivers and such?

This thread needs updated to reflect the new behavior in Android JB bootloader as you have discovered.

No luck...
See I was thinks that there might be an issue with JB and the bootloader.
Should I try to go back to ICS and see if the bootloader is functioning properly?
I've been trying to get this into fastboot for days now

No hold up, Have you tried doing "fastboot whatever" when the table shows the options on the screen. You may already be in fastboot mode. Sorry I have only messed with this one time since JB has been released. It appears that Lenovo has put a new bootloader on the tablet while they were updating things.

No option for "Fastboot anything"
The closest thing listed on the tab is "Reboot Bootloader" which brings me back to the same screen...
The PC recognizes the device as fastboot, but I can't get the drivers to install.. Then again I can't get the MTP drivers to install either.

I better not butt into this thread.  I'm only going to suggest you try these drivers if you haven't.  Good luck.

I was refering to the typing fastboot into the command prompt not anything on the tablet screen. It seems to me your tablet is already in fastboot mode when you see those options on the tablet screen. So from my perspective you have half the problem solved.

Again, have you tried to use fastboot from the command prompt in windows?

Also please double check you have the right drivers as per FloRider.

Ok yea, I just checked it out and your tablet is in fastboot mode when you see that menu of items. So at this point you should be able to issue commands at the prompt, have you tried the this one.

"fastboot -i 0x17ef devices"

Not sure that works in windows or not, if it does not you need to get the windows xp fastboot drivers working.
