Honeycomb will always be suitable for SOME people. It depends on your usage profile. But these 14 pages of posts are not about those people!

Its like someone who never uses Bluetooth telling people who heavily use Bluetooth that lack of Bluetooth support is fine... For example

It became quite clear to me today....(as I was browsing the Lenovo site) we might as wellforget ICS (or any other "improvements" for that matter) for this POS! Lenovo K1 is not even available on their site for purchase any longer. That to me says it all. Mines going on ebay asap!

I also follow the blog for lack of support in the acquisition of the missing usb host cable.  One post indicates that the pad is being picked up by an outfit called Medion....maybee we can look to them for further support?

My USB is shipping from Lenovo Monday.  I ordered it a week ago Friday from the Lenovo site.  Regarding the K1, the reason it is off the site is becuase they are awaiting further supply.  They are having trouble keeping them in stock as well as a critical parts shortage on solid state memory like most other vendors.  Y'all are way too critical of thsi tablet.  Mine ahs been trouble free other than being frustrated on the USB cable, it has been solid.

ICS will probably come coincident with the Thinkpad version which was announced in a few non-US marketing a few months ago with a May target date.

Ok, lets be real for a minute. This tablet may be trouble free for you, but it does have some serious flaws. The wireless is weak, the gps has some issues, the browser constantly shuts down, the market isn't google certified, it is extremely laggy compared to other tablets with similar specs, and most these problems are software related. We haven't had an update since January. The new market had to be sideloaded due to the market not being certified. The USB cable, and I am sure I forgot something.

The worst part is that Lenovo's customer support is questionable at best and their lack of commitment to their customers and product. How difficult is it to just give an answer to the users on the possibility of an upgrade. Seriously, is it really that hard?Fail!

I agree support is lacking and the fact that this tablet is officially End Of Life is a bit upsetting.  On the upside, I want to share one interesting note on Google Market certification.  A couple of weeks ago, I downloaded Google Play Movie directly from the tablet.  On the screen, there was a green check mark and it says something like "This application is compatible with you K1 tablet".  I don't remember the exact verbiage, but it was surprising and welcoming news...

Cheers

FIrst of all, I am pretty sure the K1 will get ICS. Here's a video they added today of their new tablet, which does run ICS

When this comes out, Lenovo will most likely have an update for the K1. If not, just flash this 3.2.1 ROM, it has full market compatibility since it is detected as a motorola xoom. This operating system is a lot more stable too.
