Mark, Please release (leak) what you have as long as all the hardware is working.  We can side-load the market from this link.

htthttp://www.mediafire.com/?2bzkpwmwc652vn8

This is easy enough for the most basic users.  Download, Open DONWLOAD app (in all apps) and click to install.

It is that easy.  We don't need you to re-invent the wheel, or go through tons of legal stuff just to release ICS.

Thanks in advance.

I want ICS as much as the next guy, but Mark isn't going to be leaking any unfinished product. Not only would he be responsible for anybody that does something stupid and bricks their tablet, but he could very well be fired. Our only option is to wait and hope for the best.

You're right, but if you connect with HDMI to the TV then you should have the 1080p That's the point. And someone said that this is a problem with Tegra 2 CPU Nvidia says that it is not the case.

So I think it should work.

It is a Tegra 2 issue.  It will only play 1080p if it is the correct encoding.

Galahad2000, very good point regarding the encoding.  I know that the Tegra2 won't even play DVD-resolution videos well, if the encoding settings are not right.   Also, I did miss the point about being able to play 1080p videos from the K1 to an HDMI-attached HDTV -- I guess if you didn't have an internet-enabled TV or player, that might be worth doing.

There are plenty of uses to hooking up via HDMI. Angry birds, youtube, music library, video chat, home videos, netflix (specifically if at a hotel), etc.

Per the original post, we were specifically talking about the playback of 1080p videos on the K1, but I certainly agree there are other reasons to connect it up via HDMi. ,  Connecting it up to watch Netflix in high def at a hotel is an interesting idea -- can you actually get enough consistent bandwidth on a typical hotel WiFi to do that?  My understanding is that it takes a solid 4 to 10Mbps stream rate for 1080p.

I'm not sure about 1080p, because Netflix adjusts it's resolution based on bandwidth, but I am pretty sure I was able to get about 720p video at a hotel by using one of my favorite apps Wifi Kill.
