How about we pretend that ICS will never come out and maybe when it does, we'll have something to be happy about :D

ahh i've done my public service for the day. wrote review on 3 sites about how disappointing lenovo's support was, their lies on ics and usb cable, etc. all factual and that i would not recommend the new lenovo tablet even if it was given to me for free. i will do more reviews onother sites for the next month or so.

actually felt great doingit .. like i've been empowered finally. very catthartic.u all should try the same.. rather than wasting ur breath on this forum as its falling on deaf ears. atleast on the reviewsites lots of people take notice of ur comments and take their business to lenovo's competitors.

Anyone dumb enough to pay $350 for a dual core 1024x768 tablet deserves Lenovo.  Why is Lenovo going backwards on specs?  Asus and Acer are releasing 1900x1200 tablets and Lenovo's not even bothering to maintain 1280x800.  I mean, the 7" $250 Nexus 7 is 1280x800 and quad core.  Lenovo should just HP before their tablets become completely worthless.

No, it's because of the AOSP.

Other motorola phones like the Razr and just released Atrix are going to be on ICS for a while.

Well, in defense of Mark and Lenovo, the average tablet user is not as capable as the users on this board and Lenovo have to "stress test" any update that they relase officially.  If 50 people want ICS and can handle (for example) the lack of USB connectivity, 50,000 do not and can not.

What are you talking about? What "stress test"? Do you know the story with K1 64Gb update and how it become almost always a brick after OTA update? What TEST? Did they test it at all? Lots of people think that K1 is rubish because of this kind of update that killed their tablet.

I can clearly see how they work now. They can not keep their word.

Well, what I'm talking about is how people would react if ICS was realeased by Lenovo and bricked their K1s  Your reaction to the K1 64GB update is a perfect example.  I'm not defending sloppy programming and development.  Indeed, I don't think  the K1 is one of Lenovo's better products. But I don't want anything that is going to impair the existing functionality of anything I own, just in the interest of having the latest and greatest OS.

Still no ICS. I sill have this horrible device and I still tell people every chance I get how horrible our experience with it has been. It's quite ridiculous how poorly this situation is being handled and why should we spend any more cash on terrible Lenovo devices. I wish there were a way to contact their CEO he seems like a very sensible guy. I wonder if he's aware of how bad this situation is we payed 500 bucks for this peice of trash. So in good faith how can we recommend products like this

as journalist. It's quite difficult to do no matter how good they look.

I have renewed faith due to the dedication of Mark, I'm proud to say I'm gonna keep my tablet. Just try to find cool tweaks and roms to keep you busy while you wait. I do believe ICS will come.

I still can't get how some people claim their K1 is so horrible.   HC may be qualified as a work in progress by many,  but it is somehow stable except some wifi flaws every 3 or 4 days.   Therefore, I would say it is annoying,  but far from horrible.   Make sure you run 14_14 version.   I know Canadian buyers have been doomed by a frozen HC 3.1 version which has to be reflashed to US version to get to 14_14,  but being the other side of the frontier,  you should have a US version right?   So if your device run that bad,  it appears to me it may be broken.   In this case no ICS nor JB nor any other candy named OS version will fix your K1.   You should have exchange it while on warranty isn'it?

As for the service,  it think none of the far east based company gives any good service at all nowadays.  In fact,  whatever company you call even apparently US ones such as HP,  you may endup in India talking with a guy called Johnny which real name is Sanjeev reading the troubleshooting guide for you over the phone with a terrible accent.  That's the drawbacks of the new worldwide maket.   Cheap products, poor service.   That's why businesses like Staples and Office Depot make their business selling extra warranties.

That faith would be warranted if Mark was responsibe for pushing out an actual update..... I was one of the first with this tablet and its been a struggle I have run out of patience and faith. Thank god for my Nexus 7.

@egemme Bro trust me I am running the best build available. The tablet and the support have been horrible though you may not see how we can say it it's what we think. You are happy with the product buy all means buy another one.
