IdeaTab A10-70 - Multi-users support

2014-07-23, 9:02 AM

Hello,

I know that Android 4.4.2 supports multi-users but this feature seems to be disabled by Lenovo on the IdeaTab A10-70.

Does a way exist to be able to activate this feature?

Thanks for your help.

Does someone from Lenovo support team can answer me?

Because, from my point of view, this missing feature is too important to not be mentionned in the specs or informations relative to this tablet...

I don't know about the A10-70 specifically, but most, if not all, of Lenovo's Android tablets have this feature removed.

Ok, thanks.
But it is an important feature for a shared tablet usage.

Does someone know if Lenovo plan to let access to this feature in the future?

Since multi-users have been around since 4.2, I had no reason to suspect that the entire user facility had been disabled by Lenovo.  I was originally interested in a Yoga but I guess that probably has the same problem according to mc1630.

I notice a lack of response (disinterest?) by Lenovo to these posts that are around 6 weeks old so perhaps I should have stuck with another Asus.  I haven't yet responded to Amazon about my purchase but this has to be a definite on any list of "cons" I eventually post.

You are correct, the Yoga tablets also lack multi-user support.

Extremely disappointing. I profoundly regret my decision to purchase an a10 for my son.

What's worse is this is a basic function that should be available on the stock tablet and its a software issue that should have an easy fix. I do not want to go to the hassle of rooting and risk voiding the warranty of the device.

Very very unhappy customer here. Lenovo will be getting bad reviews from me and I will bore the ears off of anyone who will listen about this! It's a bloody joke.

Sort it out will yas!

Agreed, I've multiple threads and forums complaining about Lenovo's disabling of multiuser functionality on various tablets. My voice joins the throng!!

I still have multi-user functions on my S8-50F but I am still using OS v4.4.2. I have read that anyone who updated to Lollipoo lost multi-user functions.
