Ideapad K1 Netflix Doesn't Work

When I open the Netflix app I get a message that states, "New version of application is found, you must upgrade to be able to use application."

 

If you click OK it open up the Android Market to the Netflix app.  

 

There is no choice to update the application and the only button to click on is "OPEN", which takes you back to the installed app and gives you the same error message.

 

I just received my K1 a couple of days ago and love it so far.  Please get this issue fixed ASAP.

Yes I am facing the same problem..I bought ideapad k1 couple of days back..installed all the updates but Netflix doesnt work..it ask you to upgrade your Netflix version and then nothing happens..Please fix this ASAP..

Netflix has been working since late summer.  I used it last night with the previous OS and again today with the latest build in my sig.  What version OS are you guys running, and what version of Netflix?

WORKS!

 

But you have to uninstall Netflix from the settings then you can go back to the Android Market and you will have the option to download the newest version of Netflix.

 

Apparently there is a glitch in the way that the Android Market place is seeing what is installed on the tablet and not offering the newest correct version.

Once I was sure you had the latest OS, I was going to suggest that you delete then reinstall the app.  You beat me to it.  Netflix works flawlessly on the K1.  Enjoy!

I can verify. Uninstall Netflix and then go to the Market and download it from there. Make sure you have already installed all the updates available. After you install Netflix from the Market it should work. Worked for me.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions on the Netflix topic.   I just opened the box yesterday and this app was one of the reasons I bought a Tablet.     After all the hype about how Netflix was pre-installed and "fully supported" by Lenovo, I was disappointed to encounter the exact problem which opened this thread (circular loop to update the app, but unable to do so ... since  it needs updating).     I did the first step --- to completely remove the app so I could reinstall it, then found the next disappointment .   After all the cautions from Lenovo to ONLY use the Lenovo AppStore I find the Netflix app itself (not the "Netflix Q" app) is not available from the Lenovo App Store !!    I have not figured that out.  Seems crazy and it must be my mistake, somehow.   So I haven't installed it yet.   Glad to hear that someone did install it successfully from the WW Adroid App Store.   I will give that a try and keep my fingers crossed.   Hopefully Lenovo Android support will get this fixed (or explained) soon.  Thanks.

I loaded Netflix from the android market and it is working for me. I`ve had it crash once. Otherwise I enjoy using it.
