Go into your WiFi page, long hold on your connection, click modify network. Go down to IPv4 settings, change it to static. Scroll down further and put in all the information. A way to find your IP address assigned to your device is go to settings, about tablet, and status. Type whatever Ip address it gives you there.

WiFi Drops:

I tried the reset option IPv4 to "Static".  My modem stayed connected howerver I had NO internet.  Had to reset back to default DHCP IPv4 settings.

Though not a 100% fix, I found the "Wi-Fi Keep Alive" app helped avoid WiFi drops during sleep.

If you have a device that is working (like a cell phone) try compairing its WiFi "static" settings to the tablet settings.  I found that my phone, which has no drop issues, defaulted to use the Gateway address in the DNS 1 setting and 8.8.4.4 in the DNS 2 entry.

Gateway  198.168.2.1

DNS 1      198.168.2.1

DNS 2       8.8.4.4

Since the phone has been working fine with the default connection, after the comparison I returned or canceled the "modify to static" settings.

I then reset the configuration on the tablet so that the DNS 1 matched the Gateway address. So far so good. ?

I bought this tablet for one reason. To play Real Racing 3. Well, two reasons. The price for the specs is unbeatable. The tablet was awesome with KitKat but when I updated to lollipop Real Racing 3 was unplayable. Would crash to desktop repeatedly. Sound volume and quality was very poor. WiFi connection was very weak. Tried factory reset several times. Tried reinstalling Real Racing 3 several times. Returned the tablet to the store and exchanged it for a new one and will not upgrade from KitKat.
