Re: Lollipop update for Tab 2 A10-70F

2015-08-13, 3:14 AM

I have done factory reset (actually twice) and cleared every cache known to Man.  Still the sound stinks (except when playing the sample video in Dolby) and the volume is very low.  The wifi connection is still not great-I have seven other devices that get the strongest signal possilbe.  Also, is still very slow to boot.

I have not called Lenovo support number.  Have any of you tried?

I am thinking of submitting warantee claim.  Aside from the price, I really liked the quality sound for watching movies

Prophecyy, Yes I got same thing after first installing the 5.0.1 update. However after performing a factory reset a couple of times it went away. I erased the notifications and it haven't seen it since.

Hi @Badomen thanks for your answer.. It's normal that backup/reset option erase as factory default takes 10 min to bootup... The longest part is when progress bar of reboot are at position like (.com) in the phrase www.lenovo.com. when progress bar as on the edge of .com it takes very long time... Sorry not too sure if my sentence are really clear to understand.. Thanks for help. Really appreciate ;-)

Prophecyy, You're perfectly clear. We all downloaded stuff and our devices thus may not act precisely the same. I took absolutely everything I installed and downloaded off this device and started over. Sunday, I watched an ESPN3 Little League game of friends in Western Region at San Bernardino from a coffee shop in Arizona with my Lenovo over the Internet. Picture was absolutely flawless and the sound volume more than I needed. What impressed me was I did not experience one flutter, one shake, no interruption of video or sound whatsoever over a 90 minute period. I've connect to the cloud and am running multiple browsers with good success. Hard to beat for $200. It's really just a bigger screen version of my Samsung Galaxy Sr but better because the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 is not cluttered with a bunch of useless and often redundant software bloat that I can't get rid of even with the Lollipop version running on the Galaxy S4 phone. When we loaded 5.0.1 on the Lenovo some things went away like the battery percent remaining. So I downloaded one off of the Google Play Store. It's a decent experience without the bloat. Am sure some of us will learn new tricks and share them with the group. Take care.

Just curious, what are the last seven digits of your build number, want to be sure the problems are tied to the same update as my update file was over 2 gb.

Try using the Google now launcher. If not installed, download from Google play. Much better launcher and will give you a more "pure" android experience. If you are still having issues after, do the factory reset. It fixed a number of issues I was having.

The default launcher is Launcher3. Try the Google Now Launcher and see if this does not fix the problems you are having.
