Re: Lollipop update for Tab 2 A10-70F

Hey Wikis

I have the same problem. But my router is like 35 ft away in a bedroom. I went in and untangled the wires and put the router up on a desk.

It connects now a lot better. It is off when i boot up my tab, but it comes on in about 30-50 seconds. some times it'll say authentation problems. Then I have to trun off the wifi and turn it back on.

But lately (last 3 days) it has been alot better. It connects by itself after about 30 -40 seconds. and the signal saids good.

Re: Lollipop update for Tab 2 A10-70F

I updated my tablet yesterday and so far so good, but I just realised there's an incredibly annoying issue with the WiFi: any time the screen turns off, WiFi connection just dies, and then I have to enter the WiFi settings, otherwise it won't connect again... Does anyone knows how to fix that? Seriously,  it's very annoying and inconvenient ... May a hard reset work for that?

Thanks :smileytongue:

Ethernet in KitKat didn't work, and after update to Lollipop, 4G internet dit not work, and I can not manually set the APN. APN settings are unvailable in Android 5.0.1. I dont know root Lolipop, for adding APN settings to system manually, and moreover, I do not void varranty. Lenovo support page is terrible. Web pages are disarranged. I miss a direct contact for troubleshooting via e-mail. I hope, that patching update will come as soon as possible. (Tab 2 A10-70L)

i had trouble with lollipop too and was about to return this tablet to the store.

Called lenovo and they will downgrade you back to kitkat for $39.

I was able to get kitkat re-installed on mine without Lenovo's help.

I have the rom, drivers etc. all collected. Will post later on all the files and instructions you need to go back to kikat, is very easy after you figure out how to do it.

Here are some instructions to help clarify the process.

Ok.  Did this and it worked for me without having to revert to kit-kat.  Simply go through your boot menu and wipe the device.  Reboot and go through the setup process.  When it's done, you will need to update google services.  After you do the update on google services, everything should, repeat, should work.

Hope this helps,

Re: Lollipop update for Tab 2 A10-70F

2015-12-05, 10:33 AM

Bought this tablet yesterday, and went through all the updates down to lollipop.

I don't have issues with the wifi but I noticed another annoying problem:

all images in google play and youtube take forever to load (up to 1-2 minutes)

It's like waiting the images to load over a VERY slow internet connection.

Anyone else having the same problem? Any solutions yet?

I am thinking about returning the tablet and replacing with another which I am not going to update to lollipop.
