Re:Netflix HD: Widevine support Tab M10 FHD Plus (TB-X606X, TB-X606F)

2020-12-31, 1:08 AM

Hi,

I did not buy a tablet described as Full HD to find out that the software restricts picture quality on amazon Prime and Netflix. Please resolve. And advise when it will be resolved. Or I will probably return and order a Samsung tablet...

Thanks.

Same here from Italy . I received 2 updates since android 10 , but still wildvine 3 as on android 9 . I just bought this tablet ( 4/64gb WiFi only) just for streaming and can confirm that both prime video and sky go stream are not in hd . I had previously a nexus 10 and upgraded only for this ... Looks like I trashed money since it's working exactly the same . I will wait for an update and then if not when I will find a product that actually works , send it back to Amazon and ask for a repair for this missing feature , if not fixable (and it will not be if Lenovo doesn't fix it) they will refund me in the 2 years of warranty . This is the way topay them back (Lenovo) for this problem , and you all should do the same . I'm a computer / smartphones / electronic technician and had similar problems with other brands and always prove them the defect and had money back . OR ELSE PLEASE LENOVO FIX IT !!! If it's fixable as you claim , and since we proved the random/inconsistent problem between the same product (some people with wildvine L1 after update but without Netflix detecting it but working on other services and some people like me still at L3 after two android 10 updates)

Same here. DRM info show L1 but Netflix not support HD.

Everyone that has widvine level one support l1 and Netflix HD does not work it's because it's blacklisted on Netflix. This has to change. Everyone needs the right to Netflix or call them and complain. The tablet can support HD on DRM but because Netflix has not changed this it won't be able to be viewed.

So it's nothing to do with widevine it's all to do with Netflix

There's still Widevine L3 security level on my LTE version and last firmware. Is Lenovo finally going to fix it?

Well it is a weird situation. Some owners fo thsi tablet got L1, but there are a lot (as me lol) who got still L3. Maybe the reason depends about the region idk.

Btw, also if u get L1 u going to watch Netflix still in SD cause netflix should allow our tablet to stream HD contenets.

I think that Lenovo should push L1 security level on every table all around the world and request Netflix to remove it fomr his own "blacklist".

I don't know who to ask this but my problem is I have no picture when trying to watch Vudu or Fandango. I can watch Netflix and Amazon prime just fine. I have the audio and captions just have a black screen. Can someone please help me or tell me where to look for answers. Thank you for listening to me.
