Thanks for posting everyone. I don't use Windows so I'm unable to test the flash-windows.bat file. Has anyone been able to use it the way it is, or did you have to move it to the files directory?

USB debugging should work. Have you already gone into Settings > Developer Options and turned on USB debugging?

I am experiencing the same hangs after "formatting partition 12" and now have had same experience under Windows and Linux. I guess that's progress as previously I couldn't get my laptop to find the USB device under linux.

Under Windows I've tried it with the flash.bat file in the files folder and outside where it shows up when files/folders are first extracted.

USB debugging WAS enabled before I made my first attempt to flash the rooted version, however now I am unable to boot into Honeycomb to even check it.

In my case the flashing failed when "formatting partition 12" and quitted to dos prompt in the files directory. I then restarted my tablet into recovery mode again, changed back to the upper directory and ran the batch file again and the flashing finished successfully.

Same process worked for me between Samsung Galaxy S3 and the K1.  Though I had almost everything I needed due to making a complete backup with Titanium when I had HC 3.2.1 installed.  All those apps transferred to ICS perfectly.

Within Titatium Backup, you can "fix" market associations.  Has anyone used this capability to reconnect sideloaded apps to see if updates will then work through play store?

Re: [ROM][ICS]Ideapad K1 Official Release

Hello,

ICS AOSP build is just about done. Just need to clean up my device tree and get all the source ready to upload to github. There are no major bugs at this point. All apps are available through the Play store including Google Maps and Chrome. The only remaining bugs I see are the rotation lock switch and video camera effects. The software rotation lock works perfect, its just the physical switch that does not. I'm going to implement a dirty hack to make the rotation lock switch work until I have the time to write a Java Handler for it. Unless of course Lenovo would like to release the source for their Rotation Lock Handler (They are NOT required to do so).

Thank you for those that reported the auto-correction issue, I hadn't noticed it before. It turns out the dictionary pack is proprietary, and I didn't see one in the build that Lenovo released. Either way, I have been able to fix the issue, so when I release my build auto-correction will function properly (At least in English :P).

Can someone please test the video camera effects (Big eyes, Big nose, etc) on the current build and tell me if they work, or if they crash the camera app?

Thanks,

khanning

Yes. The BigX video effects crash the camera in the rooted build.

Yea the ICS runs very smoot and its fast but i have some issues with the compatibility of some applications, just like my IP telephony system and online SQL operations app, but if not for those apps i stll with the ICS, maybe when the developer of those apps upgrade the compatibility with ICS then i upgrade, **bleep**!! The root ROM does a very good work.

THANKS:
