I certainly agree that an faq would be an excellent idea. I too installed stock version as the 'rooted' sounded too scary. I used Mark's instruction but khanning's file, if that makes sense. Works like a charm, not dropping wifi connections, the price to pay is for the incompatibility error on playstore. I used a win 64 computer to upgrade. Roll on jelly bean hehe. It appears different people are experiencing a slight variance of errors. I am interested in khanning ics build with working gmaps. I am not sure if it exists or it the rooted build that works well. By the way, I am in uk and have not had trouble with playstore and downloading compatible apps if that helps.

Poor article. There will be no OTA update.

Re: [ROM][ICS]Ideapad K1 Official Release

I noticed a strange bug.

I am unable to set app defaults when multiple apps are thr for an action.

Example, when I set the browser default to default browser and click a link - it doesn't remember my choice and asks it every time.

Anyone else noticed this?

Thx to Khanning for all the effort he has put in to make Ideapad K1 awesome.

Would be great if an offical over-the-air update was provided rather than a bear install and start over again.

All,

I think the referenced article is wrong... seems a bit of a mashup.

I agree that the FAQ would be good - we could approach this a couple ways:

1) Mine this and related discussions for questions and the solutions and build KB articles dedicated to each one rather than splitting up this discussion.

2) Create a link list of topics from Kreg's first post on this thread pointing to all the articles.   We could then comment on , and edit / update the articles.

Mark
