Yah. It was working in R1. I flashed to Jelly Bean though, so haven't tested R2.

How is Jelly Bean on the K1?  Is it working with Google Now?

Jelly Bean is working great for me haven't found a problem with it yet. I never used auto brightness or the lock switch. It works with all my apps.

What happened to Khannings R2 version of ICS?

I was going to update, but the goo.im doesn't have file now.

Hmmm.  Jelly Bean working on the K1.  Tempting, Very Tempting.

Well that was easy! I downloaded a terminal program and the K1_ICS_AOSP_Rooted_R2.zip. Booted into recovery mode and found the zip file and Zip,Bam,Boom! Installed with no problem. Rebooted and now I have a ZOOM Instead of a K1. Haven't had a chance to see what else has changed. Thanks again khanning!

Looking at the thread for CM9 it looks like you do a factory reset during the install. Is this going to wipe my system? I am not sure if I want it then.

Same think for me. GREAT GREAT work Khanning!!!!

Thank you very much!!!

No luck here.  I downloaded the zip file and moved it to my SD card and rebooted in recovery mode.  The installation starts and says it's installing, and about ten seconds later is says installation aborted.  I am going to re-download the file just to see if it got corrupted.

Downloading it again fixed the issue!

Great!

Well, I didn't get an answer on installing CM9 so I went ahead and did it. Now I have a K1 again and had to reload everything again. Some apps won't load but I think I can get around them. So now I should be all up to date for now. I watched a video on CM9. Looks like some pretty cool features. Would re-installing CWM - R2 put it back to a ZOOM for compatibility?

Just download cybie's modified build.prop and replace the original (/system) with it.

Hi there,

Where did you find Jelly Bean? Can you upload *.zip, or send a link? Do you need to be rooted, or on ICS before flash?

THX regards

Yes. That was the point of including CWM to begin with.

Allow me to quote the second post in the thread.

"So from now on we will be able to flash future updates through recovery without wiping everything?"

Khanning answers:

"Exactly, future updates will be CWM flashable .zip's".

-------------

In anticipation of your next question:

Down the CWM package, put it in your external SD, reboot to recovery, install zip from SD, choose it, select Install, done.

Thanks for the explanation! Do you suggest to make a backup before? With titanium backup or something similiar?
