Bluetooth issues with JB/AOSP

2012-11-06, 14:56 PM

Anybody else experiencing issues with Bluetooth HID devices running Khanning's JB/AOSP ROM? It seems to work well if I have either my bluetooth keyboard or mouse (both are made by Motorola) connected, but if I have both devices connected, one or the other intermittently stops working even though the tablet says that both are connected.

Any thoughts as to how I can get the two to work properly would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm running CM10, but don't have a mouse and keyboard to try simultaneously.  However, it runs fine with a BT mouse and BT external speakers both active (yeah, I know, different BT profile for those devices).  Does your keyboard have an integrated mouse function (little joystick or something like that)?  If so, perhaps that is causing some interference/conflict.

No integrated mouse on my keyboard. That being said, I may wind up trying CM10 at some point.

Re: [ROM][JB][AOSP] Lenovo Ideapad K1 CM10 Ver. 6.1 is out

I just happened to check the XDA site this morning an noticed that Krook1 released Ver. 6.1 yesterday. Installed it and works fine. Thanks Krook ! Here is the link to it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1825176 . I find that the Zippyshare site works best. On the first page that shows up wait for the skip ad button to show up in the top right corner. Click it. The next page will have the file listed at the top. There should be a 'Download Now' button. Click it and sit back and wait.

I am not sure why the stock calculator doesn't work but, there are plenty you can download that are better anyway. So far that is the only problem I have found.

Does anyone know how to find the wi-fi MAC address?  On Jellybean in setting on system status, wi-fi MAC says unavailable.

Running version 6.1, select

Settings / Wi-Fi / click on the 3 dots in the upper right / Advanced

will reveal the MAC address.

OK, How about Plan B.

Fing is a neat (free) app that shows what's on your local network, including MAC addresses. I had used it on my desktops before I got a tablet. The Android app is much neater than the windows version. Give it a try.

One other alternative is to check your router / DHCP log. It usually has the WiFi MAC in it. Hope this helps.
