Rescue and Smart Assistant crashes when trying to update my TB-X605F to TB_X605F_S210224_201119_ROW

2021-03-09, 21:36 PM

Hi,

I tried updating my tablet (TB-X605F) to the firmware version TB_X605F_S210224_201119_ROW, however the Rescue and Smart Assistant crashed when installing it. Now my device doesn't boot anymore and every time I try to rescue it by flashing the firmware onto it, the Rescue and Smart Assistant crashes.

What should I do ?

I'm sorry but this isn't very helpful, I'm following the steps explained both by your link and the Rescue and Smart Assistant app but it still crashes.

Hey, I don't get how this would help. Doing a system restore would just bring my pc back to before I installed the Rescue and Smart Assistant, and reinstalling it doesn't help (I've tried). I just don't get why the app crashes when flashing the rom onto my device. I really need help because now my Lenovo tablet won't boot, I'm pretty sure the app only succeeded in wiping my device's storage.

Thanks for the update @ demon.blu3000!

Since your Tab M10 isn't booting successfully into Android OS, try performing a factory reset by following the steps below even if you've done it already:

  1. Ensure the device is turned off and not connected to any charger.
  2. Press and hold the correct keys to start the device into recovery mode. This varies from device to device. Normally there are three key combinations to enter recovery mode for Lenovo android tablets:
    • Volume Up + Power
    • Volume Down + Power
    • Volume Up + Volume Down + Power
  3. Navigate to Wipe data/factory reset or Reset factory
  4. Press Enter. Factory reset will start automatically and wait till it finishes

Please note that this step will erase all data that's stored in it.

You'll be then able to update the Tab M10 to its latest version (firmware) afterwards if the step above will be completed successfully.

Also, try to use a different cable when connecting the Tab M10 into a Windows PC/laptop or use a different device instead when using the Rescue and Smart Assistant tool.

Thanks,
