Re:Don't upgrade Tab M10 FHD Plus to Android 10 - problems.

What exactly was the released update for my Lenovo TB-X606F supposed to "fix"??

None of my issues have been "fixed".

Lenovo's definition of "fixed" is definitely not my definition of "fixed".

I never actually thought any of the issues being reported after Android 10 update would ACTUALLY BE"FIXED" BY LENOVO.

THAT IS NOT WHAT LENOVO IS ABOUT.

Tablets are just put out as revenue generators, not ever intended to be fully supported..

Shameful, so many of us had to find out by our own experience with Lenovo's lack of concern. support, and zero effort regarding this M10 model.

Dear all, I'm back here again ...

could all of you please share your experiences re the following with me.

Is it possible to connect an external device, e.g. USB-C hub or Verbatim SSD, to Lenovo's TB-X606F via its USB-C port?

Was it ever possible? Is it technically possible? Or is the tablet's failure to recognise any USB-C hub or SSD yet another Android 10 "upgrade" related issue?

What adaptors ("active" hubs, splitter cables) or therelike could be used to help this tablet recognise an external SSD?

I would appreciate everyone's help with that.

Of course I would expect that you, @Ala_Lenovo , know the answers to my questions (or can help organise them from Lenovo's tech support).

This is complete and total B.S.  We have a tablet where screen casting; WHICH IS BUILT INTO ANDROID BY GOOGLE; does not work at all.  We have widgets which work on every other Android device ; yet do not work at all on this POS.  And FYI; I had 2 apps whose widgets were minimally working before the last update which DO NOT WORK AT ALL NOW.  I guess it's time we just face the fact that Lenovo either can not or more likely just does not want to put forth the time and effort to fix their crappy tablet OS.  Well, I am done with both Lenovo and Motorola forever.  No second chances because their support is total CRAP.l

I just found another thing that the last "fix" broke.  Before that "fix" the magnetometer (compass) sensor worked fine.  Now the tablet is reporting that it does not even have a magnetometer sensor.  Nice job.  Your Android techs are beyond useless.  I'd advise Lenovo to completely get out of the Android business if the best you can do is make your tablet worse every time you try to "fix" yous sham of an Android build.

I too have discovered "additional" problems.   No casting Anything..zero!

I just hadn't tried to use it prior..!! 🤬🤬🤬

Lenovo is absolutely the worst!

I'm pretty sure we are of no significance with our Tablets. Just like bothersome ants.

I see everyone is just as fed up!!

When I first bought this tablet about 4 months ago it immediately installed android 10, so I have no idea how it ran on 9. I do know, though, that with 10 none of my widgets worked, along with other problems. In this very thread someone suggested doing a hard reset. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I tried it. Sure, it wiped everything out and I had to go back and put things back the way I wanted them, and sure... it was a hassle and it took some time, but it worked. Everything that I use this tablet for works great. It's a 100% functioning tablet. The unbloated, clean version of Android is exactly what I wanted in a tablet. In fact, I'm thinking of getting another one just in case they stop making them. Try the reset. If that doesn't work, then by all means, criticize Lenovo.

I bought mine back in March 2020.  So just over a year ago.  It had Android 9 when I bought it.  It did an upgrade on 9 once or twice.  Then it tried to update to Android 10 and I kept getting an error that the file didn't pass some kind of check before upgrading?  I don't remember exactly, but it didn't work.  Then one day, it apparently downloaded the Android 10 update by itself and installed it.  It's worked fine for me.  I don't use it for very much other than to listen to Amazon Music and stream HBO Max, Netflix, Britbox, etc.  For those simple things, it's working quite well.  I wouldn't want to use it for any heavy lifting.  I think my iPhone 6s is faster and better than the tablet.
