Re:Don't upgrade Tab M10 FHD Plus to Android 10 - problems.

@Ala_Lenovo

My Device TB-X606V has not recieved any update after TB-X606V_S300112_210110_BMP.zip running with December security patch. The latest version TB-X606V_S300255_210527_BMP.zip which I last saw on 18 June on LMSA, have not been received to my device OTA since 11 days have been passed. I literally tried around 50 times since days by clicking to check for software update..but it didn't arrived....... I finally decided to try flashing my device by LMSA but it wasn't rescued even I tried more than 10 times. I reinstalled the software but it didn't worked again....... Please let me know how long will take more to receive updates via OTA?? I know it take time but how long.......and for the LMSA I reported it via app....... But please confirm with team, how long will it take to arrive via OTA. Please try to release updates via OTA on time as it is not possible to flash a device every time just for software update

Regards

To those telling us to do a factory reset, jokes on your side...

I've done 3x, even changed the motherboard (!) by official Lenovo Service Center and the problems still remain.

Also, Lenovo, the problem is at your firmware, not the Developer's apps.

I've got multiple devices, all with android 10 and 11, and nada have problems with the problems we face in here. And here we talk about big android developing companies with million of users. I think they'd know already if they had a problem. Not to mention it's not "Just one app".

I just wish i never updated to Android 10 and that Lenovo would give back rollbak to 9 option.

Yeah i'm looking to sell the tablet as well, as its clearly not even FHD with Netflix after a year of waiting for it.

I'lll tell this as a joke, but please provide Android 11 at least. Maybe these problems will get fixed by themselves with it, and people will get excited they have the latest android version.

Believe it or not, I got a notification to apply an update to my already updated (2x) tablet yesterday.  I applied the update and it did it's thing and is now working with no problems.  I was very afraid that I might run into one or more of the problems everyone is talking about in this thread.  But so far everything is OK.  Have no idea why.

Hi all,

I apologize for not responding here for a while. Below I’m sharing the latest firmware versions that should solve some issues with notifications and widgets. These firmware versions were released via OTA already, but they are not rolled out 100% yet, so you might have to wait a little for the update.

The development team is working hard on solving the issues reported on the forums. If you encounter any new issues or if you feel that an issue is not being addressed, please share a detailed description of the issue. It’s always a good idea to include photos or videos to illustrate it.

We appreciate all your feedback!

Is it possible to connect an external device, e.g. USB-C hub or Verbatim SSD, to Lenovo' TB-X606F via its USB-C port?

Was it ever possible? Is it technically possible? Or is the tablet' failure to recognise any USB-C hub or SSD yet another Android 10 "upgrade" related issue?

What adaptors ("active" hubs, splitter cables) or therelike could be used to help this tablet recognise an external SSD?

I would appreciate everyone' help with that.

Could you please share a picture showing how you connect an SSD to the tablet? It'd be good if the picture would show the SSD, cable(s) you use, and the tablet. Our team connected SSD's to the tablet with no issues.

After last update (TB-X606F_S300249_210508_BMP) my tablet still rebooting after I scrolling somewhere, especially in Instagram. Light sensor still not work correctly. Nothing changed for me.

Could you please send a video illustrating the reboot issue? Our team suspects it might be a memory issue, could you please try clearing the tablet's cache and let us know if this issue continues after that?

Thank you,

Ala

Hello @Ala_Lenovo ,

thanks for your response re my recent query.

Instead of the photo I will provide the following information:

build number: TB-X606F_S300249_210508_BMP

external SSD and cables as described here:

https://www.verbatim-europe.co.uk/en/prod/vx500-external-solid-state-drive-240gb-47442/

This SSD comes with a USB-C/USB-C cable and a USB-A/USB-C cable, as stated and depicted in the above link. The first I've used to connect the SSD to a "cheapo" smartphone (Android 10 as well) with no problems whatsoever, the latter for connection to a laptop, also with no issues. In both cases a pop-up tells me that the respective device has detected a new device, and on the SSD a light goes on.

When I do precisely the same with your Lenovo tablet, this device detects nothing new and no light starts flashing ...

Could you let me know if they're working on the same updates for the M8 FHD? I've posted in this thread before that the M8 FHD is experiencing all of the same issues that people mention in this thread. With Android 10 widgets and notifications were non-existent.

Hi,

Been following this thread, and been hopeful to find a solution, but still having problems.

Running TB-X606F_S300247_210508_BMP and can't get incoming Skype alerts after the device has gone to sleep.  It works for a few hours after the tablet was last used, but then everything appears as offline, and ringing doesn't work.

Have added Skype (and tried others) to the 'do not optimise' list, have done numerous factory resets - nothing.  Given the tablet's sole purpose is to allow an elderly relative to receive video calls, it's currently absolutely useless.

Still under warranty, but the support line go straight to "send it in for repairs".

Anything else I can try - or any links to methods to downgrade or any custom ROMs out there - would be very welcome.

Re:Don't upgrade Tab M10 FHD Plus to Android 10 - problems.

2021-07-06, 8:05 AM

I bought my tb-x606f 4/64Gb 2 weeks ago and was not aware of the update issues to Android 10 unfortunately. It updated itself  3x times from Android 9 to the latest security patch in Android 10. It was stubborn to stay connected with a (one to two bar) 4G hotspot on various Samsung mobiles we posses (S9 upward models) . Reading all active forum issues about the tb-x606f here and the frequent disconnect issues from the hotspot (even from the hotspot as open network) I decided to use the LMSA program and re-flash to the latest downloadable rom (TB-X606F_USR_S300249_210508_BMP.zip) from May 2021 and it did the rescue without any issues, restart okay

THE PROBLEM now is that even  factory resetting several times (and in desperation rescue 3 times now) the tablet is not able to even find any wireless network or any bluetooth device. Also in the testing LMSA application on the tablet it can't find any network any more - WIFI or BLUETOOTH. I tried everything systematically to avoid interference from them both. Upto 5 different Bluetooth devices and 4 different hotspots. I like the tablet, it has been handled like the queens crown... what happened with the latest update to cause this?
