Tab M8 HD Tablet (TB-8505F, TB-8505X) WiFi issue.

Good afternoon.
I am an Information System Operator of a company. We bought Lenovo tablets with suitable technical parameters for the company (Tab M8 HD Tablet (TB-8505F, TB-8505X) - Type ZA5G).
I have already contacted my local network administrator, the problem seems to be with Lenovo's operating system, as other manufacturers' tablets are working properly (Huawei).
We use the internal WiFi network in the company, without internet access, only our company internal network. All access points are CISCO manufacturer.
Tablets connect to the network very well, but after a while the network will disappear, "Won`t connect automatically" appears and you need to reconnect to WiFi manually.
The latest update is installed, battery saver is turned off etc.

I'm adding a screenshot after disconnecting WiFi, and it says "Won`t automatically connecting" .

I wanted to ask is here solution to deal with this? Maybe there is some WiFi configuration to get WiFi without connection problems?

Sincerely, Elvis.

Re:Tab M8 HD Tablet (TB-8505F, TB-8505X) WiFi issue.

Hello,

Apologies for late response. No worries, I'll help you with it.

Just to ask, is the issue already sorted out? If not, I suggest you to reset the Tab M8's network settings. You may go to Settings > System > Reset options. Restart the device afterwards then see if it will now connect to Wi-Fi.

If that doesn't work, I recommend you to follow the steps below to perform a factory reset in Recovery mode:

  1. Ensure the device is turned off and not connected to any charger.
  2. Press and hold the correct keys to start the device into recovery mode. This varies from device to device. Normally there are three key combinations to enter recovery mode for Lenovo android tablets:
    • Volume Up + Power
    • Volume Down + Power
    • Volume Up + Volume Down + Power
  3. Navigate to Wipe data/factory reset or Reset factory.
  4. Press Enter. Factory reset will start automatically. Wait until finished.

Please make sure to back up your files first as this will erase all data stored in the device. Should you get the same result, it would be best for you to reach out to our Lenovo technical support for possible hardware concern. Provide them its serial number for them to check its warranty entitlement.

Regards,
Adriel_Lenovo

Tab M8 HD Tablet (TB-8505F, TB-8505X) WiFi issue.

Re:Tab M8 HD Tablet (TB-8505F, TB-8505X) WiFi issue.

Hello @ Freimiis !

Welcome to the Community Forums!

Please try to restart both the Tab M8 HD and your Internet hardware (router, modem) then connect both devices again and see if it will now work.

Aside from that, try connecting the Tab M8 HD into different Wi-Fi networks then see if it will connect properly.

You may also share here the Tab M8 HD's MTM (machine type-model) number for us to check its specifications as this would help us detail more about your machine variant while keeping the confidentiality of your serial number.

It can be seen through the device's label/sticker or its original packaging and does usually have a format of Z********R as an example.

Here's a link as well that also contains additional methods in obtaining your device's details.

Thanks,

Adriel_Lenovo
