Tab3 8 - Problems with mobile data connection and GPS after Android update

After having installed the latest Android update "Security Patch September 2017" I'm facing the following problem: whenever an app is using GPS (e.g. TomTom or Google maps) the mobile data connection is interrupted with status "no service". Activation via the settings menu is impossible as the switch is grey and not responding. After closing the app it takes a while and mobile data connection is activated again. Anyone having the same problem and found a solution? Lenovo support is not responding...
