Tablet vibrating

2021-03-31, 14:01 PM

I have just purchased an M10 FHD Tablet. I have an issue I can't seem to solve. Every time I put it to sleep, closing case cover, after about 15 seconds it buzzes/vibrates. It usually repeats this again after about another 30 seconds. Sometimes when I move the tablet (cover closed) it does the same thing.

I have turned notifications off. Vibration is also switched off. In fact I think I have turned every off!

Any thoughts?

Welcome to the Community Forums @ Bognor Saint!

Thanks for posting here!

Check first if there are app(s) that are still running in the background and close them.

If there's none, reset the Tab M10 FHD by pressing/holding the Power button for like 5 to 7 seconds then select Reset/Restart and test it again afterwards.

Also, check if there's an available update to your Tab M10 FHD and download/install it.

Update us how it goes.

Thanks,

Hi

I have closed all apps but still same problem.

When I press and hold power button I get the choice of restart or power off. If I continue to hold it just reboots and no choice to reset or restart.

Thanks

I may have found an answer. If I turn screen off with the power button there is no vibration but if I close it using the flap of the case it vibrates! Is it the case causing it?

Thanks for responding @ Bognor Saint!

Are you using a back case or any accessories into your device?

If yes, it might be the one that's causing it to vibrate even if the screen is OFF.

You may try removing it to see if the vibration while the screen is OFF will stop.

Yes. It seems to be related to the case. Didn't do it with case removed.

Thanks for the update @ Bognor Saint!

It would be best not to use the case for a while since it keeps the Tab M10 FHD to vibrate even when not in use that can cause the battery to be drained faster than it should.

You may also get in touch with its manufacturer (case) to inquire if they do have other accessories that's fully compatible with the device that won't produce issues like this.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that.

Is there no way of switching off all vibration? I thought I had done this but not for this problem.

I'll check with case people.

Thanks for replying @ Bognor Saint!

Vibration toggle is usually found in the Sound & Vibration settings.

You may also try typing in the keyword "vibrate" or "vibration" to access the setting itself and turn it OFF as well.

Usually, putting the device in Silent mode will put the vibrate to take effect to notify the user if it received any notification(s) from the device whether it's from an app or from the device itself (low battery or call/text if available) but it can be disabled as well if you're going to have it in full silent/quiet mode.

I've ordered a new case to see if this solves the problem.
