Why Tab P11 Plus has so short software support compared to more budget models?

I bought Tab P11 Plus (TB-J616X) few months ago, it was introduced on local (CZ) market in January 2022. According to the update matrix the support ends in July 2023. It is 18 months of support only.

More budget model M10 3rd Gen introduced last month has support till March 2025, that is 33 months of support.

Why the more expensive model has such short security updates support cycle?

It appears that this has been a decision made by the business since all details we are also providing is from the Lenovo Android Upgrade Matrix. One thing I can assure here is that you can still continue to download any apps that you want as long as its compatible on the tablet and continuously use it for your daily tasks and needs. In addition to that, rest assure that we will assist you should you encounter any issues on the tablet that requires our assistance.

Though, we'll definitely inform our users if there's additional info towards this.

Upon further checking, it states on the Lenovo Android Upgrade Matrix that the Tab P11 Plus's EOL (End Of Life) is up until 5/31/2024. In addition to that, its security updates EOL is until 6/1/2023 with the Emergency Security Updates EOL until 6/1/2024.

Another thing to mention here is that the Tab P11 Plus's Android upgrade path to Android 12 (Android S) is still ongoing since it just started last 5/31/2022. With regards to your question, "*Lenovo tablets get updates for security issues documented in Android Security bulletin.".
