tablet M10 often loose wifi signal

2021-04-06, 14:46 PM

Hi all,

I have several devices but only for this one, M10 tablet, it happens that it looses wireless signal of my router.

It takes only few seconds to catch it back (by itself), but it's a weird and very annoying behavior....

The worst is when my son has the tablet, he play some game and he starts moaning and lamenting again and again...

Then I definitively have to sort it out...

What can it be? maybe the driver of the network card?

PLEASE!

thanks

Welcome to the Community Forums @ alemadama!

Thanks for posting here!

What type of Tab M10 are you using?

Can you please provide its MTM (machine type-model) number for us to check its specifications?

Does the Wi-Fi signal also loose its connection when using other devices?

Try restarting the Internet hardware first (router/modem) as well as the Tab M10 then connect it again.

Also and if you can, connect the device to a different Wi-Fi network then see if the issue will also occur.

Update us how it goes.

Thanks,

Adriel_Lenovo

Hi Adriel,

guess you need this number:

Lenovo TB-X606F

I already tried several times to reboot router and M10 but the same results...

the other devices inside my network are ok, almost never miss the signal.

M10 miss the signal also with other wifi sources (e.g. smartphone hotspot)

thanks!

Thanks for providing your device's details @ alemadama!

Check first if there's an available update to your Tab M10 FHD Plus and download/install it then observe its performance again.

Please click on this link to see the steps on how it can be updated.

If the Tab M10 is already updated to its latest version yet it still gets disconnected to Wi-Fi, you may try resetting its network settings.

To do that, go to: Settings > System > Reset Options > tap or select Reset WLAN, mobile & Bluetooth then confirm the action afterwards and connect it to the Wi-Fi again.

Let us know if this'll work.

Thanks,

Hi Adriel and thank you for your suggestions.

First I tried to update the system but I can't: when I tap the item nothing happens... no mesg, no alert

Then I decided to reset the network settings: done, now let's see what it happens... I will let you know

I have an horrible doubt: after the reset, I reconnected my WLAN SSID and I saw the "random MAC address" option by default

I setup now "device MAC address", but how can I set this option up by default (I have MAC filtering on the router)?

do you know why I'm unable to update the system?

maybe some settings that inhibit that?

thanks

Thanks for the update @ alemadama!

Resetting the network settings will just erase the device's connection settings/recent connection history.

Once done, you may proceed in connecting the device to the Wi-Fi again and it will still use the settings that's associated with the Wi-Fi network that you're using.

As for the update, you may also click on this link to see other steps on how you can update the Tab M10.

Thanks,
