A1 Amazon instant video?

2011-12-08, 16:46 PM

Does any one have Amazon instant video working on the A1?

I know it works on other tablets, but will NOT work on the A1 for me. The built in browser tells me that I can not watch. I installed Firefox, but when I try to watch using that, I am told that I do not have Adobe Flas installed. When I hit "install Adobe", I get the message (feom Adobe) that my device is not supported.

Check your installed apps.  Flash I believe is pre-loaded. If not, go the the MarketPlace and get it there http://bit.ly/tAE9Nj

Hopefully that corrects the flash issue, I haven't tried the AMZN instant video yet though.

thanks for the reply. The App store tells me that Flash 11 IS installed, but can not seem to get Instant video to work in either browser.

If you go on Amazon info on how to watch the only compatible mobile device listed is the Kindle Fire.

Re: A1 Amazon instant video?

I had an A1 for 5 days.  I have Amazon Prime and tested the A1 using Netflix, Amazon and mSpot Player2.  All worked.  Netflix was by far the best, but watching video on the others was, well painful.  So much so that I returned it and purchased a K1.  Very happy I did.

The A1 will play video streamed from the web or movies from the SD card, but each of us has his/her own level of what is acceptable.  The A1 didn't meet my expectations.

Thanks,
Ricochet

Funny,

When I go to Amazon I can not view ANY videos. Other places work ok.

How/what did you use to view the Amazon prime videos?

Visit the amazon site directly in a browser, log in to get your prime access. I had no problem watching a movie this way.
Thanks,

Ricochet,

May work on the K1, but not on the A1, with the native browser or Firefox. Does work on my wife's tablet.

Like I said previously, I had an A1 for 5 days Amazon video played no problem. Fuzzy and glitchy but it played

What happens when you select the movie and press > play? Error message, or... ?
Thanks,
Ricochet

On the original browser I get a message that says “the item is not available for purchase from your device.....”

I then installed Firefox on the A1. When I go to my Amazon Prime account and select “Watch now” I get a message “Flash player is not installed” so I click the “Install Adobe Flash Player”. I then get the message, “Sorry Adobe Flash Player is not available from Adobe.com for your device's operating system or browser”

ANY IDEAS???

Hi GUYS!

I've got exactly the same problem. Some flash-websites and flash-videos don't work. When I try to install flash player I get the message: “Sorry Adobe Flash Player is not available from Adobe.com for your device's operating system or browser”. I've installed Adobe flash player from android market, but it was absolutely uselessly. The issue isn't solved yet. Video on Skype doesn't work too. I've had so many expectations about this tablet.

SUPPORT!!! Please, HELP!:smileysad:

Greg, Sadly I no longer have an A1to duplicate the behavior on. I did nothing special besides update the devices OS to whatever was current at the time. I installed flash from the android marketplace and browsed to amazon using the default browser. Once logged in, my prime membership kicked in and I selected an title. I drilled down on it and pressed one click, then play. Started instantly . Strange you cannot.
Thanks,
Ricochet

I always use the Unbox Player to view Amazon instant video and use the Amazon video DRM stripper to make my Amazon movies purchases DRM-Free.

The amazon videos would not play on my 2109A until I updated flash from ver 11.1.115.8. Neither Google apps or Adobe have the updates available. Do a seach for updating the andriod flash to find a download link. Versions .17 and .27 both worked for me.
