But why did you renamed the 2 recoveries? Clearly they mentioned that the one that ends with "c" is the old ICS rooted ver' and the one that ends with "d" is the new JB.

That is up to you, c and d mean nothing to me, the recoveries in my opinion should have been labeled jellybean and ics from the start,. that is why I renamed them, once they are on my pc they are mine, to label as I see fit.

If you don't want to rename yous then don't stick with the c and d stuff.

Re: A2109 - Updated ClockworkMod Recovery for Jelly Bean

"specific case" = that my device is already rooted? i dont need to install the "Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip"

So i dont need to rename them and if i want to flash the JB - i just have to pick the:

A2109_CWMrecovery-6.0.1.9d.img

The root is stays after rom changing?

If do - that means that i just need to flash the: A2109_CWMrecovery-6.0.1.9d.img + flashing the rom?

But i dont find the jellybean rom - where is it?

In the Updated Jelly Bean of mcl630 i found only the Recovery!

Thanks!

There are two Jellybean roms, you choose the one you want.

The ROM is the zip file.

Both custom ROMs include root.

There are two versions of the recovery:

Use 6.0.1.9c if you are currently running ICS.

Use 6.0.1.9d if you are currectly running JB.

Meaning:  If you're trying to upgrade from an ICS ROM to a JB ROM, use 6.0.1.9c for the update, then install 6.0.1.9d after for future updates or ROM changes.

Everything you say is correct.

  1. Choose one of the ROMs that vampirefo. linked.  The first is the MCL JB ROM, and the second is a "themed" ROM from flashallthetime.
  2. Copy that ROM zip to your tablet.
  3. Install it using the clockworkmod recovery.
  4. Flash clockworkmod 6.0.1.9d from your PC using fastboot.
  5. Profit!

Re: A2109 - Updated ClockworkMod Recovery for Jelly Bean

Hi,

This is the info from my tablet:

*Android Version: 4.0.4

*Kernel Version: 3.1.10

*Build-svr-a@build-svr-a#1

*SMP PREEMPT  Thu Oct 18

*Build number: MCL0103_IL

*Hardware Info: 0.SS16

If my device is ROOTED - do i still need to:

1) Copy that zip (ROM) to your  INTERNAL SD in the  tablet.

2) Install the zip (ROM) using the clockworkmod recovery (WHILE TABLET IS CONNECTED TO COMPUTER).

3) Flash clockworkmod 6.0.1.9d (why "d" and not "c"?) from your PC using fastboot.

After you seen the details of my current rom - which version do i need to use - C or D?

I need to use with those 2 files, right?

* jb-inverted.zip.rgt442n (which is the ROM)

* A2109_CWMrecovery-6.0.1.9c (which is the recovery),

???

Or just tell me which are the 2 files (recovery + rom) from that list do i need to download and flash to the tablet:

Thanks for putting your time into that!

  1. Copy MCL 201 ROM to your tablet.
  2. Reboot into recovery.
  3. Install MCL 201 ROM (zip file).
  4. Connect your tablet to your PC.
  5. Boot into fastboot.
  6. Flash clockworkmod 6.0.1.9d (img file).
  7. Reboot.  Your Android version will now be 4.1.1.

That's it.  The d version is for Jelly Bean, which is what MCL 201 is based on.  Oh, answers to your questions:

  1. Copy to internal or external.
  2. Yes (connected or not, doesn't matter, except you must be connected for fastboot).
  3. Yes (d is for Jelly Bean/4.1.1 ROM).

And you don't need either of those two files you list.  You need MCL 201 ROM and clockworkmod 6.0.1.9d.

FloRider,

So: I shell use ONLY with the 2 file names:

1) MCL ROM 201 (for 4.1.1).

2) CWM for 4.1.1 (6.0.1.9d).

It's based after you noticed that i currently running the ICS rom...right?

I appreciate you efforts helping me so much!!!

Wish all of you best year!

Yes.  Just install the ROM first, then flash the clockworkmod.  Happy New Year to you too :).
