Re: A2109 - Updated ClockworkMod Recovery for Jelly Bean

2013-01-03, 14:12 PM

Oh...b.t.w:

This is how i reboot into the recovery of the A2109 and FASTBOOT?

1) Shutdown the tablet.

2) While tablet is OFF - connet the tablet to the PC USB.

3) Hold down on the Volume UP untile it boot up.

This is exactly how i doing the:

*Get into the recovery.

*Operate Fastboot.

I know in my S3 that its combination of:  power key+home key+volume key .... and when it started booting - releace the power key and stay with home key+volume key.

As there is NO home key in the A2109 ... i wonder what is the way to get into the recovery?

Thanks!

It's power button + volume up for recovery, and power button + volume down for boot loader. One of these sequences requires (at least on my tablet) to first press the power button and then volume key (after it vibrated, e.g. pressing two at the same time wont work).

In recovery you operate with volume controls (up/down) and power button (select).

I hope that the issu with installing the DRIVERS to the PC wont be hard...

In my instructions i dont see anything regarding the DRIVERS...i MUST install them, right?

If you could also give me the download link to the right drivers...i would appreciate it.

Hi,

This is the info from my tablet:

*Android Version: 4.0.4

*Kernel Version: 3.1.10

*Build-svr-a@build-svr-a#1

*SMP PREEMPT  Thu Oct 18

*Build number: MCL0103_IL

*Hardware Info: 0.SS16

(snip)

If you're on MCL ROM, you've already used fastboot to flash clockworkmod.

That's mean that once I made a fastboot I will never have to do it again?
If you think that I need to know that... So I was not the one who made it.

You must have the tablet connected to the PC to use fastboot.  Here are some drivers that should work.requires contextual information.

Re: A2109 - Updated ClockworkMod Recovery for Jelly Bean

So everytime i flashing a new rom & recovery - i always have to use fastboot...and install the drivers.

In my instructions i dont see anything regarding the DRIVERS...i MUST install them every time i replacing the rom?

Or they the same and i can back again to the same computer and do it again with the drivers of my last flashing...?

1) The link to the drivers is not working...

2) The fastboot provided with the rom download? (like, if i downloded the rom - i should have the fastboot too?)

Thanks!

The only need for fastboot (and drivers for that matter) is to unlock your bootloader and install clockwork recovery. Once you have your bootloader unlocked and clockwork recovery installed, you can do everything without a PC (download a ROM directly on your tablet, reboot to clockwork recovery, install a ROM).

On Windows you need drivers for fastboot to work. You install clockwork recovery once, but some ROMs (like stock) can reflash recovery on boot. If that happens, you will need to reboot to bootloader (power button + volume down) and flash clockwork recovery again.

Fastboot for Windows (and drivers) is provided by LeTools (Lenovo Tools), not ROM.
