Sorry i can't help u regarding the root...

I know how to update to a new rom & cwm.

When you'll need that - here is the simplest directions:

1. Copy the Rom file (entire zip) to the SD.

2. Boot in-to CWM.

3. Wipe cache + dalvik.

4. Install zip from sdcard.

5. Restart device and turn it off.

=====================

5. Copy IMG file foe the CWM to the main directory of  "Letools" on pc.

6. Get in-to fastboot mode by holding power + volume down together.

7. While tab' is on fasboot mode - connect it to pc.

8. Open the CMD from the "Letools" directory with right click+holding shift.

9. In CMD type: fastboot flash recovery A2109_CWMrecovery-6.0.1.9d.img  and hit the enter.

***this recovery is only an example***

10. Reboot.

shaby,

WOW..I'm impressed, you are becoming an expert !!  I guess I thought using the LeTools software would be easier.

You're using fastboot or adb which is part of Letools.
What do you need in Letools is the ''platform-tooks'' folder.

Re: A2109 - Updated ClockworkMod Recovery for Jelly Bean

Hai im trying cm-10.1 for A2110 and having issues with System.UI (Unfortunately SystemUI has stopped working).

Can the root cause be an incorrect display setting? I'm using cm_device_a2109a as its the same just 7" (same bl/kernel) slightly modified of course..

Thanks for help/suggestions

I don't really know anything about the A2110.  I know that the A2107 and A2109 are very different, so be careful about making assumptions about the A2109 and A2110 being similar.

Hi mcl630,

it is the same just differs in Display size. I flashed your 4.1.1 Leno image and it works as intended. Even OTA works (luckily the blob update failed on my first try :) )

For the System UI Crash, I missed the part in the configs that egl was disabled, so I'll try to add them from the JB Image... and hopefully cm will run then.

As you can read here http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-IdeaTab-Slate-Tablets/Development-Cyanogenmod-10-for-the-A2109/td-p/941817/page/6 tasinofan had the same assumption as I do, which are right.
