A2109A: display sometimes flickering

2012-12-19, 16:27 PM

From time to time, I see that the display sometime "flickers" once and then there is nothing for minutes / hours. It is hard to describe, how it looks, so please replace "flicker" with "flash" or something similar.

I've always seen this, but I'm on ICS.

So this is a known problem with ICS? I have noticed this with JB too, but with ICS a lot more often. I always thought it is a problem with the options of the encoding of the video, but I have seen it while editing the configuration of an app too.

I think it's a physical problem.  I dropped a tablet and noticed it more often.

I have never dropped it, it is brandnew, a few days old. But it could have been dropped by the parcel service. Is there sensor, wher you check, if it was dropped?

I dropped mine, unprotected, onto concrete.  It's unlikely that your tablet was damaged in that manner.  I don't think there is a sensor.  I didn't need one; I bent the case :smileyembarrassed:.

I still get the flicker on JB, but it seems to be less than it was on ICS.
