Doing so well until this bit; you seem to be ignorant of the fact that resetting doesn't solve the problems for many. Though it is worth a try.

In Lollipop there is always a notifiaction "App permission management is running" . Is there any way to make it disappear?

It is very annoying?1?

I see it when screen is locked. When using it is in notification bar but I cannot swipe and remove it.

Also is there a way to arrange icons in drawer by name or custom preference?  (Lollipop Version)

Go to:

Settings

Security

Scroll down to "App permissions". Here you can either toggle it on or off. I personally have it turned off as I check what each app I install requires permission wise.

If it's something that doesn't make sense to the relevant app, I don't bother installing it.

You can also go to:

Settings

Sound and notification

Here, you can adjust how you want apps to notify you. You'll find a lot of things to play with here so just explore and see what you can and can't do.

Hope that helps

Thanks a lot for the tip. Helped a lot. Got rid of the annoying notification. Tablet is perfect for my use. Only glitch I have is I cannot arrange icons in the drawer as per my preference. But I can live with that I guess. Just dont want to put another launcher only for that. I believe in having one app for one function :) Too many apps for same functionality irks me :)

imjonbob,

Go into settings, apps and internal apps, there are two programs for the dolby, on one of them there is a clear cache button.   Clear it, stop that app, and stop the other app.  Reboot and tell me if there is any improvement.

Re: LENOVO TAB 2 A10-70 lollipop issues report everybody.

Hi, I have acquired a few months old A10-70L (Lte) tablet.

Upgraded to Kitkat and did the factory reset, WiFi and everything else works.

But I have one issue.. my battery is charging almost 24 hours till full using the stock charger and cable (on 220V, not USB PC power).

I changed the charger from the stock one to the iPad 3's charger and used the LG G3 USB cable.

There was no difference.

Another thing, with stock cable I could not connect the tablet to PC (Unknow device), while with G3's cable it worked.

Did someone had any similar problems?

Battery works quite good though.

I think, I will soon take advantage of my warranty service... Battery warranty is only 1 year.

babarjo,

Because your wireless signal is strong doesn't guarantee that there might be issues.   What band are you using?  In Europe, there are higher channels for 2.4 Ghz I believe, or are you using 5 Ghz.   What channel and what channel width?   20mhz or 40 on 2.4Ghz or what on 5 Ghz.    I don't believe that simulataneous AC spec 2.4 and 5ghz will work on the Tab 2, but I'm not sure.   Tzul should know.

Vipe5,

Read this xda-dev post by Tzul:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65212697&postcount=195

if you are technical, this link from Lion567 prior to Tzul's post: https://www.maximintegrated.com/en/app-notes/index.mvp/id/4803

I have a usb ammeter and found that the Lenovo charger was only sourcing 500ma, but I don't remember if the tablet was off.  Per Tzul, it should charge at high capacity if the tablet is off.

I have an Anker 5 port usb charger it uses an intelligent TI (Texas Instruments) chip to control the charge current, I find it

charges the Tab 2 very quickly even when the Tab is powered on.   Here is a cheaper two port version:

There is no special "fast charge". For Android, it usually goes like this:
If you connect the device to a USB data port, it will limit the drawn current to 500 mA, because that's the maximum in the USB 2 standard. Even though many USB 2 ports these days can and will provide more than that (e.g. 1000 mA).
If you connect the device to a dedicated charging port (DCP, i.e. a "charger"), it'll draw as much as it wants. For our tablet, that would be around 2000 mA (2 A).

What's the difference between a data port and DCP? Well, a USB 2 connection has 4 wires (plus a 5th for OTG, but that's not important here). Two are for power (ground and voltage), the other two for data (D+ and D-). The D+ and D- wires are obviously needed for data transfer, but not for charging, so a DCP will just short-circuit them. That's how devices can detect if they're connected to a DCP. Most chargers for Android devices nowadays should have D+ and D- shorted. But there are still some out there that don't, and therefore the device won't draw more than 500 mA from them. Apple chargers are like that (of course), they use their own proprietary way of signalling the charger's maximum current via voltages on D+ and D-, meaning they aren't shorted, meaning they won't be recognized as DCPs.

Cables can also play a role. Both length and quality. I tried the original Lenovo power supply for this tablet with several USB cables, and the results varied. The original cable could do 2000 mA. Some short and crappy noname cable I had caused a limit to 1000 mA for some reason.

Furthermore, I just noticed yesterday that this tablet also appears to limit the current to 500 mA while it is being used.
That means if you want fast charging, don't use the tablet while it's charging. Keep it in standby, screen off (powered down should also work).
