Re: LENOVO TAB 2 A10-70 lollipop issues report everybody.

I too am on my third A10-70F. First one I assumed I should update to lollipop. Big mistake. Returned that one. Wanted the second one to have the most updated version of kitkat so based on (bad) information I got from Lenovo support I again updated to lollipop. Returned that one. As groingo said, don't install 710 or above. If you can't live without lollipop then either wait for Lenovo to fix the problem with lollipop (if they do) or go somewhere else for your tablet needs. Personally, I love my A10-70F on kitkat.

Lenovo is not going to fix the problem, I talked to their customer support and they told me it was my fault I upgraded to KitKat and if I wanted it fixed I would have to go to the premium support and pay for the fix, they were not responsible .

For me is the last time i deal with lenovo but i have also have inform all social media and forums i belong about lenovo and after sales program ,this is the minimum for the time i can do but i will continue ,i have a bright new lenovo tab2 a10-70 lte and evey 3 minutes i loose wifi connection ,so the thing we have to do all of us is to continue mention the lenovo brand and customer care for after sales services

If I'm reading this correctly - the only way to address issues with the 5.0.1 upgrade is to send the tablet back and get a new one and then DO NOT upgrade the OS?  Will that also address the issue of having to constantly reboot it to keep hulu and netflix and other apps from freezing?

Out of three I have owned and returned, be aware that it will ultimately do a Forced Update no matter what you tell it to do, mine even did it WITHOUT an internet connection after a couple days use, so as you use it it is pre loading the update without your knowledge.

Groingo, do you have "system update" disabled? How long did you have your tablets before the forced update came through? I was hoping disabling "system update" would prevent any forced updates. I have had my third tablet for a while and have not received any update notifications with "system update" disabled. I was going to wait until my tablet was out of warranty before rooting but this could change my thinking if you received the updated with "system update" disabled. Thanks in advance for your response. This tablet is great for me on KitKat but is useless on lollipop.

Bottom line, after Update, OTA and Google Play were disabled or removed it ultimately did the forced update which happened even with NO active internet connection, it installed it in the background as I did other things on the net, thinking it was disabled and when I turned it back on the next day with my modem OFF it started by telling me it was installing the update and not to turn the computer off which I tried but it would not do.

Now have an RCA Maven Pro tablet and it has survived two updates with no negative effects as has my RCA Voyager which has survived three updates.
