Re: Lenovo TAB3 Business TB3-X70F TWRP down

And what is the exact type number that you get when you fill out the serial number at the Lenovo "Warranty lookup" website?

Mine reports:
Tab3 10 Plus Tablet (TB3-X70F, TB3-X70L)
SN: ********
Machine Type:ZA0X
Model:ZA0X0131SE

That's funny! When I checked about a year ago (right after purchase) the website reported:
TAB3 10 Business
Type ZA0X
Model ZA0X0131SE

So it changed form 'Business' to 'Plus' again...

Re: Lenovo TAB3 Business TB3-X70F TWRP down

Then I guess you are on a different brand of firmware (180130) as the one that is published by Tzul (160527). That was the same with me.

This means probably that the touchscreen becomes irresponsive after unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP, as I experienced.

I don't remember if my problems started after just booting TWRP or after actually flashing TWRP.

What you can do: unlock bootloader, boot TWRP (don't flash), install Magisk, reboot and see of your touchscreen is still working. If it is: you have your desired root access and a working tablet :-)

But if the touch is not working anymore: you can flash the 160527 firmware and get it working again, as I did, and flash TWRP as well if you like. No guarantees here - but I guess that's the way it will be like.

Re: Lenovo TAB3 Business TB3-X70F TWRP down

Hi all

I'm trying to follow instructions from Ano1 for magisk installation but it's impossible: when i try to unlock the bootloader (with "fastboot oem unlock" command) I just get the error message "unlock is not allowed".

I've got S000028 Firmware so may be it is necessary to install previous version (S000027) ???

Thanks for your help.

Re: Lenovo TAB3 Business TB3-X70F TWRP down

Hi again

I've got TAB3 Business, I did oem unlock, this reseted my tab to factory, I installed TWRP and reboot to recovery and my tab stopped with lenovo logo.

I tried to format the data partition, using TWRP's "Wipe" menu. This didn't work.

I read that installing SuperSU it will disable dm-verity and Android should boot again, and now I've got boot-loop (lenovo logo- twrp trying to format data- failing- lenovo logo- again and again).

So I'm trying to flash tzul firmwares (I tried S000025 and S000027) with SPFT but in both cases SPFT crashes (in windows 7 and linux elementary os) when I load the scatter file.

Any good idea will be wellcome.

Thanks

Re: Lenovo TAB3 Business TB3-X70F TWRP down

Same happened to me.....read post 51 on page 6.....I quote this:

"Then after flashing recovery it reboots in a boot loop in the Tzul recovery unless you do "flashtool boot the recovery" directly after flashing the recovery!
So after flashtool boot recovery ,the recovery starts and you have then to install the magisk Root tool and ...sorry I can't remember...probably do a factory reset or some wipe as well"

I actually installed supersu at the

end.

The problem with the s0026... Flashing you run in is described also somewhere before pg 6.

Good luck!

Re: Lenovo TAB3 Business TB3-X70F TWRP down

Flashing the firmware S00025.. took me some time probably by not pressing the vol up button long enough....if I remembet correctly ...the instructions were in tzul zip file
