That is completely asinine. Why would you update lower spec models, but abandon the most premium model in the line? It's the only Tab 4 10 Plus being sold on their site. Is it because of the differing hardware with the fingerprint scanner and LTE? Honestly, I'm just flummoxed by this. I think I'll hunt down the emails of some Lenovo execs tomorrow and send them a strongly-worded (but polite) letter. Will it do anything? Probably not. But I can at least air my frustrations before writing off Lenovo forever.
@troovis, like you, I'm totally pissed. It is very disappointing that Lenovo is abandoning this model after launching it with so much fanfare and promised Oreo. I have given up on this tablet (and Lenovo) and is looking to purchase another tablet from another company with a track record of updating their product on a regular basis.

I bought a Lenovo tab 4 10 for my daughter as a Xmas present last year and was pleased when the rumours of an Oreo update hit the web. So I'm really disappointed to hear that this update is not in fact happening and I think not even offering one system update is a disgrace! Contrast my experience with Apple where I recently received a system update on a MacBook Pro bought in 2015. Next time my daughter needs a tablet I'll pay the extra money for an iPad.

Ha! I got the latest Sware update for my Tab4 plus 8 about 2 weeks ago (Nov '18) and my SD card dissapeared along with aprox 16GB of my Docs/data/photos etc.
But as it had given me faultless performance since new in 2017, having now read the ongoing debate on sd card corruption, count myself lucky it lasted this long.
Anyone else tried the secert menu in "Contacts" ? Open search in contacts type ####3333# to open it. Apparently option 3 solves the problem with a log file being written when shutting down which has been blamed for sd card corruption?

Hello, I purchased the tab 4 plus 10 inch a few months ago. Great little tablet, one of the best I have owned.
But Lenovo have lost me as a customer since abandoning this tablet. I expected to get at least Oreo.
Oh well I have learned my lesson, Samsung all the way for me now!
