I want to be able to watch in HD so Lenovo should get this new Tablet added to the Widevine L1 supported devices og Netflix Asap!!!

Welcome to the Community Forums konitoni!

Nice to have you here.

Please refer to the screen shot below. It is stated on Netflix's site that these are the only Lenovo tablets that can play contents in HD:

Capture.JPG

All devices must also have the latest firmware for HD content(s) to work properly as well.

It can be also checked on their site through this link to see the complete list of devices.

Aside from that, Netflix in HD will only work on devices that does have these following chipsets:

Upon checking on your device's complete specifications, Tab M10 FHD Plus uses MediaTek Helio P22T (8xARM Cortex-A53, up to 2.3GHz) as its chipset/processor.

Hope this answers your concern.

Thanks!

I've seen this list, it doesn't help

Sorry but that is just plain BS! It cleary states on the netflix site: "In addition to the models listed above, you can stream Netflix in HD on devices powered by the following chipsets."

Don't just blame Netflix if you (Lenovo) preinstalls Netflix on the device! The M10 FHD Plus (2020 model) supports Widevine L1 and hence Netflix could add it to the list of devices! I've already asked Netflix and they said "We have taken that into consideration". It really would help if Lenovo and it's staff could help Lenovo users to raise the voice and to get Netflix to add the M10 FHD Plus 2020 to the list of supported devices instead of giving unhelpful and wrong answers like @Adriel_lenovo!

THIS TABLET COULD BE A GREST PIECE OF HARDWARE, but with l3 Is unusable

It's L1, it's just not certified by Netflix... let's hope "yet".

Maybe you try a factory reset?

How did you do that?

I updated to the same OS version/ firmware version as you have - 200923_BMP/android 10, everything is the same as yours, I also did a factory reset still it's showing me L3 :(

Any ideas how did you get to L1 ??

ps. try netflix beta

Please ATTENTION to a simple point.... on X606X after upgrade to Android 10 widevine remains L3 instead on model F (as you can see from previous screenshot gently posted from FeVerSeCtioN) after upgrade it obtains L1. I understand that these are 2 different model but I don't understand reason why upgrade to X606X give us the opportunity to have L1 certification. Later, the problem of Netflix is another point but if we don't have L1 certification we can't have the possibility that in the future they add this processor in their list. So, is there a way to understand if support are working to L1 certification on X606X tablet? THANSK A LOT

From what I could figure out from other sources, the netflix app relies on an internal whitelist on top of the L1 certification.

The TB-X606F is already Widevine L1-certified (in most cases, afaik), it's mainly an issue of Netflix adding it to their whitelist. I just don't know if it's something Lenovo has to ask, or if the users can pester Netflix until the tablet is added.

the TB-X606X doesn't appear to be L1-certified, so that would need to get sorted before the LTE model of the tablet can get HD.
