Hi there, I can't seem to find the power schedule setting on my dad's Tab4. I had recently updated it to Android 8.1.0 Oreo, maybe it's been removed or not compatible with this version? Was a great feature for my dad who barely uses his tablet, hopefully I'm just blind and it's still there.
Would love any tips or theories, thanks!

Oreo revamped the Nougat Settings app a lot and I have trouble too. Is what you want Settings / System / Scheduled Power On and Off (?)
if you want to get under the hood a little, there's a good free app Greenify (Oasis Feng) to selectively "hibernate" apps when screen goes off, saves battery and device is always on any time.

Appreciate your reply and yes looking for the Scheduled Power On and Off, I recall it being obvious enough and now can't find it checking through every setting options.
Hadn't thought about looking for an app replacement, will check out Greenify and look for some others. Thanks for suggesting.

The path I gave you is the new Oreo location on my Tab4 8 tablet:
Settings (app) / System (menu, bottom) / Scheduled Power On and Off (third item down)
Greenify is well regarded, and I use it on all my Android devices. Worth googling for specific ways to set it up to suit your situation.

Hi thanks again for your time, didn't clue into your path. strangely I don't seem to have that option. My dad's is a Tab4 10, not the 8, seems like the size shouldn't make a difference though.... I've added a photo of my system menu options below.

Can't explain why (?) The only other thought I have is to try the Search box for the Scheduled Power title, in case it's buried elsewhere.

Hi i did try the search with no luck, is really strange. The only thing I can think of is I did the update for my dad while we were in Europe for the holidays, but wouldn't expect it to be a different version in any way... Maybe will try a factory reset. Thanks again for your reply

Hi I specifically updated it in Germany as well. The tablet is from Canada when my dad lives, but we were visiting family in Germany when I updated it. Might be a clue that we both updated in Germany or just a coincidence... I haven't got around to desperately trying a factory reset.
