I also have big problems with Oreo update. I tried to follow carefully instruction explained above in this thread.
My problem is maybe MiFlash. I have tried several versions and the older MiFlash version will not regonize my tablet (it only start charging battery after couple red led flash) and newest version of MiFlash does not find flash file to upload (newest MiFlash connect to my tablet). See screencapture below.
Little help needed, thx.

You are not in emergency download if the device is recognized as HG...... Thefore you can not flash the package.
You MUST be recognized as COM. This is verification you are in emergency download mode ( edl mode ). Try again. Power off, follow the instructions again to get the tablet into edl mode. It might take a few tries.

Hi, first at all thank you very much to Wiznoodle for the tutorial for downgrade. Like Jetlink i wanna downgrade my Tab4 8 to Nougat cos have 2 main issues with Oreo, has static sound with Dolby when volume is low and the scroll lags in some apps (Amazon Prime Video, Youtube, with Facebook is horrible, and others).
My dude is the rom i have to flash. My tab is too the TB-8504F Wifi, the rom is TB-8504F_S000029_170518_ROW_QFIL? Because don't know what QFIL means.

QFil is a tool to flash, but the images can work with other tools. If you have the correct number for the tablet, I suppose this is the good image. :-)
