Tb3-850f Slow performance

Hi,

I recently bought this tablet for my wife. After a while i noticed that it is really slow for a quad core tablet.

I checked everything and no apps remain in memory. In fact it is slower than my old Asus tf101...

My question is: did i just picked a lemon or did Lenovo screwed up this product?

Thanks

Re: Tb3-850f Slow performance

The tab3-850f shouldn’t be so  slow… Please perform a factory reset. Pressing and holding power button + volume up button for around 15-20 seconds, you will access to the reset menu. Please select factory reset option scrolling with the volume buttons.

If this does not resolve the issue, I would contact to the Lenovo Support Centre to send the unit for a repair.

Regards.

Re: Tb3-850f Slow performance

Hi JJQ,

I forgot to tell that i had tried to do so but the boot menu is in chinese or something like that so its pretty **bleep** hard to kow where to go...

And now since the latest android update i get a "optimisation of application 1 on 1" at every boot and it takes about 10 minutes then the tablet die and reboot again and again....

I'm wondering if i may be able to make factory reset via adb?

Thanks

Re: Tb3-850f Slow performance

I have similar issues.  I had to enable developer options just to tweak it, but it shouldn't be this way out of the box.

My LG Stylo 2 works better than this.

Re: Tb3-850f Slow performance

Hello JJQ

I'm also have extremely slow performance with my TB3-850.   I have tried the reset to factory procedure at least one time, to no avail.  At one point I just stopped using the device for 6 or 8 months.   It's just horrible, and at the moment, has approximately the same value to me as would a boat anchor trying to load any web site.

So a couple of questions:

1) Are you an official Lenovo support specialist?
2) If this factory reset fails again, what is your suggestion at that point?

10.89 GB used of 16.00GB
System space 5.34 GB
Apps 3.34 GB

Images 1.47 GB

Videos 8.00 KB

Audio 40.00 KB

Others 20.03 MB

Guest 75.86 MB

Cached data 2.35 MB (this is immediately after clearing the system cache)

I'm somewhat incredulous that it appears the best solution to a problem such as this is to clear the cache and/or perform a factory reset.

Can you help further, before I just put this under a car tire?

Thank you

Re: Tb3-850f Slow performance

Yeah....mine also comes up in Chinese or something. Anyone know how to fix this, as well as painfully slow performance?
