Re: WiFi issue with Tab 4 8 Plus

So unfortunately the airplane mode trick is not a fix. It seemed to help for a while, but I'm back now to my WiFi randomly blinking out. I still think it has something to do with switching between 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks.

Unfortunately it looks like we are stuck with this problem until they fix this, hopefully in the next security update (whenever that is).

Re: WiFi issue with Tab 4 8 Plus

Hi, I might have a solution. My router has the 2.4 and 5GHz channel up (names are auto and auto 5) and if I log in to both the 5GHz will not be dropped. According to settings everything is okay and I am not experiencing anything outstanding (lag, connection drops etc).

Re: WiFi issue with Tab 4 8 Plus

I'm using Tab4 10 Plus and having the same issue.

I'm having this problem right after the recent system update "TB-X704F_S000053_180122_ROW".

My tablet is a wifi model, so it's basically useless without a wifi connection.

Changing into 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz wifi did the trick, at least until now, but hopefully there should be a hot fix for this very soon.

Re: WiFi issue with Tab 4 8 Plus

I've a Tab 4 10 Plus 64GB LTE (ZA2R0113DE) and I've the same issue too. Smiley Mad
I've installed the Bulid-Number: TB-X704L_S000053_180129_ROW.
I use the tablet without an installed SIM card.

Hopefully a fix will be available soon.

Re: WiFi issue with Tab 4 8 Plus

I updated to the latest firmware and had the same issue. The only solution for now is to downgrade the firmware to the stock ROM.

I was able to downgrade the stock ROM using the qpst tool. You will need to get the stock ROM for your tablet. If you search the web and forums, there should be tutorials to do this.

Re: WiFi issue with Tab 4 8 Plus

I bought the wifi version 64 GB 4 GB RAM and for 2 days 6 updates have been made. No matter which band I use 2.4 or 5 Ghz when upgrading the system the speed is only 8-10 mbps, each update takes around 8-10 minutes after download - super slow. After that if wifi works, download speed is fine - around 200 mbps but sometimes even that the status bar says it`s connected I can`t use the wifi - as previous users said already.

Hope someone from lenovo works on the problem !!!

Same here. Just purchased the Tab 4 Plus 10, after the latest firmware update, WiFi constantly dropping out! 5ghz and 2.4ghz. Will be returning mine! NOT a happy bunny!

My first ever Lenova product and maybe my last.
